Will these fit a stock 98 jeep cherokee sport, or are they too long? i will be pairing them with the crown heavy duty springs and coils.

These will fit from a 1 inch to 3 inch lift. You maybe be able to get away with it if the new front springs are taller, may want to double check with a representative from rough country.

Collapsed and extended length

Not sure but had them installed on my 2004 TJ with a 2/2.5 in lift. Rides ok for a daily driver no off reading

Quantity 2? Sorry for the stupid question, it shows two shocks in the picture, but nowhere does it say "2". ... this is for my 2000 JK with a 3" lift

2 shocks come with, however this is for jeep Cherokee XJ, these probably won't mount to your JK
