Doesn't stain dishwasher
I actually like this dishwashing detergent quite a bit. The stores around me don't carry this anymore, but it was a reasonable cost to order on Amazon. Gets my dishes clean, works well with the Bosch dishwasher. I don't understand the love for Cascade. It stinks to high heck and is unnecessarily dyed blue, which stained my dishwasher. I had to scrub the dishwasher afterward, and I wound up throwing the rest of the bottle away. I happened upon this detergent, and it worked like champ. Bonus that it seems to be slightly less toxic to the environment than the other detergents. Have not yet had a problem with it not getting the dishes clean. My only complaint is that it's more expensive by about $1 each on Amazon than what it typically costs in the stores. If I find a store nearby that carries it, I'll stop buying it on Amazon.

Best dishwasher soap ever… and great packaging to send it!
So none of the local stores around me carry this anymore, but it really is the only dishwasher soap I’ve ever used that clean dishes immaculately and also don’t leave a yuck residue. I won’t ever use a different dishwasher soap. Now… the packaging… since I have had to order it before, I’ve gotten the joys of ordering it before and found it shipped with leaky bottles and all sorts of issues! Not here!!! This was delivered in a package that looked like a sophisticated gift, and was well padded inside so that none of the bottles leaked and there wasn’t a mess!!! A+++ for packaging and shipping. 100% will reorder.

The best for my circumstances
When we make a purchase, we really need to evaluate numerous conditions that apply, both to what we seek in the product, the conditions under which it will be used, and so forth. I had been using Cascade dishwashing liquid, but found that it just seemed to not get stuff as clean as I wanted. I tried this Palmolive Eco, and immediately noticed a dramatic improvement, first load I ran with it. But it's not always easy for me to find this in my local stores. Some just don't carry it at all, others where I have found it, seem to run out. At times I've tried the generic big box brands. Poor performance. Recently I was completely out, and I had to go back to Cascades blue gel, I think it's called Complete. Just so disappointed with that. The coffee mugs ... I make strong, fresh roasted coffee ... my mugs don't even come out clean. I was delighted to see Palmolive Eco offered through Subscribe and Save, and I just got my first 3-pack. And once again, the mugs that have been coming out time after time with coffee residue on them, 100% clean with Palmolive Eco. Now I think Cascade Complete might be a very good product under different conditions and circumstances. There's something about the Palmolive Eco that just seems to work very well with the moderately hard water that my municipal water company provides. But even when I added LemiShine with the Cascade, it still did not make up for Cascades weakness with the mineral rich hard water. So, if you haven't tried Eco, if you have moderately hard water, I definitely recommend you give this product a try. I am very very pleased with it. And now that I've got Subscribe and Save, I'm hoping I never run out again.

Good detergent; leaked in shipping
I usually buy this dishwasher detergent at a local store, but it has been out of stock for several weeks. Seeing it on Amazon, I figured I would order. I did read several other reviews that the product leaked in shipping, but was hoping the seller would have figured out how to resolve this issue. Sadly, my order arrived with leaked detergent all over the 3 bottles, despite the “gripper” sticker/tape used to secure the lids closed. Thankfully, all the leaked detergent was contained in the plastic bag the 3 bottles shipped in, but they all still needed to be cleaned, and the smell of the detergent is awful on my hands! (It does not have the same odor when running through the dishwasher; I think it is the bleach, but I am not positive.) As far as the actual detergent and its performance, I think it does a great job. This is a bleach based cleaner, so it is not as effective if you leave food on your dishes for the dishwasher to clean (find an enzyme based cleaner and you will be much more pleased!) But if you pre-rinse your dishes before running the dishwasher, this is a great, cost effective option. I am sensitive to smells, and this doesn’t leave my dishes with a cleanser odor, like other brands do, when coming out of the dishwasher, either. 4 stars just because of the shipping issue.

Changed the name and then discontinued - bummer.
Palmolive doesn't even list DW detergent on their web site any more. It worked great but it got scarce, expensive, and then disappeared. If you love a product, never tell me about it. I'm cursed and it will change or be discontinued when I start using it.

Works well and is good for environment
We recently moved to a home with a septic system that is located on a creek which is home to wildlife and opens to a bay. We are committed to using products which are environmentally friendly. This is my second order of this product. I’ve not had problems with film or spotting and it cleans comparably to others I’ve used. I do use a rinse aid ( but would use that anyway- always have). We do have a public water source and no problems with hard water. The scent is subtle, and I’ll reorder when my current supply runs out. Overall don’t see any difference in performance compared to other products I’ve used and the cost is similar.

product great; delivery not
I am writing this here because although the product [which I really like] was delivered at least 3 hours ago, I have not received the email notice of its delivery and so I can't reply to the question, "how was the delivery?" It was not good. The product was not packaged well -- no padding, particularly the end with the caps, and the cap on one of the 3 bottles was broken. After cleaning up the mess I weighed the three bottles and discovered the one with the broken cap was 5.4 oz lighter than the other two [~1/8th of the product lost]. The product itself is great. Scent is very mild and dishes always get clean. But the packaging does need to have some inside padding around the caps or it gets really messy.
