But for the price it is definitely 5 stars! ### ⭐ Faulty Item *by A***R on 23 April 2013* I ordered this item secondhand (DSLR A350) fron Amazon. It cost £199.99. It did not work. The LCD monitor at the rear of the camera is supposed to display "Live View" and camera settings, and show the picture(s) taken. It did NOTwork. I fully charged the supplied battery, attached a new CF memory card and a new SONY alpha series lens. No joy. I then replaced the supplied battery with a new Sony battery, againfully charged, but the LCD display failed to operate.I have an almost identical Sony A200 DSLR, which has always worked very well over the last three years, but I now wanted a camera with greater resolution and a "live view" display. Unfortunately the camera I purchased failed to opeate as it should. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ When live view is a priority *by P***O on 23 February 2009* Having bought and used one for some half a year, I love this camera. Its rather unique trick for a DSLR is the live view system, which auto focuses as quickly as when using the traditional viewfinder. This means it can be used in live view most normally unlike most other systems which are slow or clunky. I thought the flip out screen was a bit of a gimmick before I got it, but it has come in useful so often I miss it when using other cameras. It can give you that bit more potential to set up an odd shot otherwise not practical.On the down side, the live view system doesn't offer an image zoom so for very fine manual focusing other camera types may be better. Also the implementation means the optical viewfinder image is relatively small compared to other systems.The other general plus of the system is the body based image stabilisation system.
