I recently bought this 12V car cool box for road trips, and it has been an absolute game-changer! It fits perfectly in the back seat or boot, plugs straight into the car’s cigarette lighter, and starts cooling almost immediately. It keeps drinks icy cold and snacks fresh for hours, even on long summer drives. The build quality is solid, and the lid seals tightly, so no worries about leaks or loss of cool air. We use this to keep all our fresh foods cool when we are travelling to our caravan which saves us having to go to the shop as soon as we arrive. We have bought a mains adapter so we can use it in the awning for storing things that just need to be kept cool which leaves space in the fridge for foods that need to be refrigerated like dairy and meat. We have also used it in hotels or B&B’s.

Suitable for several different purposes Negatives:- Very poor quality “passive lid”, which was bowed out of shape, due to the fact that there is not really enough room inside the Cooler Box to store it, and it had been wedged in. Minimal instructions included, and they are printed in minuscule typeface. Observations:- Came partially shrink-wrapped. Conclusion:- In addition to using this cool box plugged in to my car’s DC 12V female cigarette lighter socket, I can use it plugged in anywhere indoors, and also in my garden, by utilising 2 products I bought from Amazon UK in December 2017. I had a purchased a digital tyre inflator pump from Amazon UK on 17th July 2017, and added a AC 240V to DC 12V power adaptor with a female cigarette lighter socket, plus a 4 metre cigarette lighter extension cable, so that I could pump up my car’s tyres using a mains power socket instead of its battery. Now they can be used for another purpose as well.
