This is a monster of a machine!
Man, this thing is a MONSTER! If you've been hesitant about Chinese equipment, don't be. This thing can hold its own against all the big boys. Easy to assemble, the owners manual wasn't hard to understand, but the printing was quite small, and once I gassed it up and filled the oil, I primed the carb, and it fired on the very first pull! I have NEVER had any piece of equipment do that!! Color me thoroughly impressed! As far as how it works, it is a absolute beast. I started with the string trimmer head, which is a bump feed and works perfectly, and trimmed a lot of areas that have been needing it. No sweat. Then I decided to try out the chainsaw blade (yes, you read that right). That thing sliced through everything I put it up against like red hot steel through soft butter! I even tagged some hidden concrete and metal in a junk pile that I was trimming, and it never even slowed down. It cut through inch thick weed stalks like they weren't there, and cut really thick, tough grass clumps effortlessly. I did notice that the 3 tip blade it comes with seems to be sharpened on the wrong side though. As the cutter head rotates counter-clockwise, it should have been sharpened on the other side of the tips. Maybe they grabbed the wrong one from the pile at the factory? Idk. Not worried about that, because it also included a circular saw blade! After using the chainsaw blade, I may try that one next and see how it handles small trees. I'll include a picture of the junk pile I was attacking below. Don't judge! The pile was there when I got the house, and I added to it during remodeling, tossing old furniture, etc. That's one reason I wanted this thing is to clean up my property. It's a work in progress... Anyway, I live in central Louisiana, and we've got weeds and vines that I'm pretty sure science hasn't discovered yet. These things are tough as hell, thick, invasive, and will completely take over if you don't keep them cut back. This pile has several kinds of vines, small trees, huge weeds, and some kind of grass I've never seen growing in and on it. I will admit, I was abusing this trimmer, swinging it at this jungle like a wild man, and it never so much as hiccupped. Just sliced through it all and said "bring it b*!ch"!! I was almost laughing hysterically I was having so much fun chopping weeds down like I was Paul Bunyan or something! If my neighbors could see me, I'm sure they'd think I'd lost what mind I had... So, the tl:dr of it is this: if you want a machine that will cut anything you stick it in, on, or against, and you don't want to pay 600+ for a "name brand," get this one. It's awesome! I will try to update the review once I see how the durability and longevity is with it. Some reviews said they had issues and the company replaced the unit, some said they've had it for several years and it's still kicking. I hope the later is the case, because I love it! Get you one!

PROYAMA sent a used unit as replacement. It started on very first try and is still starting easily!
Assembled easily, started easily first 3 times we used it . it ran fine. I could not get it to start after about 45 minutes of total run time. Motor would fire a little but not run -no matter how much we dried it out or how fresh the fuel was or how we manipulated the choke; it was getting fuel as mix vapor was seen coming out of exhaust . We checked: sparkplug, swapped spark plug with a known good plug - no joy isolated ignition from switch- no joy pulled it apart- verified flywheel key had not sheared, verified magneto airgap etc, piston and rings looked virgin . installed new coil today -same deal- no start- it would sound as if firing but wouldnt kick off and run. unit has spark but seems very weak Pulled carb apart with no issues apparent. all diaphragms flexy and clean. Inlet needle arm level with casting. high speed needle in good condition. Now in process of re-setting mixture screws. Unit has plenty of compression but will check with gage today. Piston and rings still cherry as seen thru the intake port. If i can figure out why the sumbitch wont start i will revise my rating but there is another reviewer had same exact problem but do not know what his resolution was. Epilogue: Proyama customer service (very polite and sincere) have offered to refund me money OR send me a refurbed/second hand unit. Yes , fool that I am , I accepted their offer of the second hand unit. I cant resist...this damn thing should run..it DID run fine the first tank of gas! I am going to fix it or die trying. Maybe I end up with two piles of junk and a bruised ego or maybe I end up with at least one serviceable unit plus a pile of spare parts. Meantime I am still looking for my little doggie. The grass has now grown so tall I cant even see the tip of her tail above the grass...I know she is out there somewhere...... I will bump to 5 stars if this second unit actually runs. I bump to 3 stars for now because these guys really seem to be genuinely trying to help me. Also now that I have had this unit broken down I can say the construction is good and does not see to be full of cheap shortcuts. Piston has two rings. Overall Machining is good /clean. I think it will give good service if I can get it to run. EPILOGUE: Proyama offered to send me at no charge a good refurbished unit. I accepted of course. It looks brand new but the locking knob for shaft extension is damaged , probably from shipping. But otherwise this unit has never been used! I gassed it up and it started right up with only a half of a pull. I have stopped and started it 10-12 times , all easy single pull starts. I took the carb off of this unit and put it on my original unit--same deal--firs but wont kick off and run. Now very puzzled. So I set the original carb up just like the replacement unit's carb and will re-install and try again. I also intend to pressure/vacuum check the crankcase to see if maybe the crank seals(s) failed. At first pass it still behaves as if not getting enough gas...... Also when I put the replacement unit's carb back on the replacement unit it again started and ran nicely! I am bumping to 5 stars as I think the unit is well made and PROYAMA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. I will update the review as I dig deeper into the original unit's issue.

This is a Commercial Grade Weed/Wacker.
I recently purchased their 4-cycle gas powered mower and was pleasantly surprised by the high performance, easy of operation, quality of construction and price. I decided to buy their weed/wacker as I started to cut my own lawn between my twice monthly commercial lawn maintenance. I received the package fairly quickly just like the mover. When I opened the box, to my surprise and in my opinion, this is a commercial grade, heavy duty weed/wacker. I later noticed the description as EXTREME DUTY. They are not kidding. It is over-kill and built to take on much larger jobs than that of a 1/4 acre home in So. Florida. It is heavy and you must wear the full harness supplied. After I set it up, I went to the home improvement store to buy 2-cycle oil for the fuel. I noticed the inventory of weed eaters, everything from the battery operated models to the gas powered versions. They all looked like toys compared to the one I just bought. Yes, they were light weight but the difference in built was like comparing a gas powered scooter to a Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle. Surprisingly, the engine is made by Huasheng, which is a high quality motor I have used in the past for other applications. The only time consuming part of putting together the unit which was 99% already factory assembled was figuring out how to put on the harness and adjusting the handles on the unit to balance the machine so that it was neutral balance if you took your hands off of the unit while it was still hanging from the harness. Apart from that, it was easy to set up. To sum it up, I highly recommend this unit if you have a commercial lawn maintenance business or you have a 1-acre or larger home. For my application, it is more than I expected but at least I know the light application I will be giving this twice a month during the summer grow season in So. Florida should allow this unit to last me a life-time. This is not for women or men that lack muscle. The low price they charge fools you in to thinking you are receiving a light weight application model. I give this unit a 5-Star for price and quality.

Heavy, but powerful!
Here’s my honest review of this Proyama 42.7cc Extreme Duty line trimmer: Let’s start with the Cons: #1: The packaging wasn’t anything to write home about. The box was just held shut with the cardboard flaps, no tape and could have easily come open in shipment. The accessories and tools were scattered about inside the box and only a few pieces of cardboard for protection. Thankfully nothing was missing or damaged. #2: The instructions were very poorly written and not very clear as how to assemble the unit. The shoulder harness was very confusing to put on and adjust. Once I figured out how it went on, it took three tries to get it adjusted to my height. Also, there’s not enough padding on the harness to comfortably hold the trimmer. The strap on that wraps around your back and attaches to the plastic shroud that holds the trimmer digs into your side! #3: The handlebars was awkward to put on and adjust also. The clamp that holds them to the shaft had to be completely removed in order to slide it into position due to two pieces of rubber that holds it in place that doesn’t slide. That took another 3 tries! And after over an hour of adjustments, I was able to get it adjusted and balanced to my liking. #4: This thing is very heavy! I’m 6’ and 280lbs and feels heavy even for me. If not properly adjusted and balanced, it fatigue you very quickly! Now for the Pros: #1: After filling the tank with the proper fuel mix and primed it with about 6 pumps, it started right up after 3 pulls. After the engine was run and warmed up, it started on the first pull every time after it was shut off and the engine is surprisingly quiet also. The engine also seems to to have a good bit of power. And the fuel tank also holds a generous amount of fuel. #2: I have only used the string trimming attachment, and it worked as it should. The string advance system also worked good. My Conclusion: Weighing the Cons with the Pros, I’m satisfied with the unit. Only time will tell as to how well it will hold up with use. I would have given it another half star if it came with a better more padded and comfortable harness. And if it was easier to adjust. The ease of starting and power is its best feature.

One of my best financial decisions🤣
I have had this for a little over a year and a half and use it very regularly. We had just bought a property and I had to clean around 4 acres of really neglected hillside and yard. I was really sketched out when I was buying it and figured I’d use it till it broke and buy a husky or some other name brand this was just to hold me over till I bought something else. I absolutely love this thing now and wouldn’t trade it for anything else. Let me tell you when I cut someone’s grass for the first time and they see it they assume it’s a Stihl but when I show them it’s not there impressed. I’ve let my friends and family borrow it and have sold atleast 4 for Proyama I am a huge fan and supporter of them just based off the performance of this weedeater. I live in eastern Kentucky and we have some crazy hillsides the handle bar setup isn’t the greatest for them but it’s certainly doable. Not to mention that 1 tank of fuel usually lasts me around 2 head fulls of string in hard cutting so less trips down the hill to refuel. I have dropped this over hills, fell on it several times, and it fell out of my truck once and it’s still fine and doesn’t look bad. In my time with it I have never had it fail to start or have any issue with it running I keep good gas in it and use husky mix and it’s worked really well for me. This has way more power than I could ever ask for I was so impressed with the weedeater I also bought a chainsaw from them and it’s just as good and reliable as the cutter. Most of the harness’s that come with these are painful or are weak however the one I got when I bought mine has been great and by far the easiest one to put on and adjust I’ve had yet. But hands down this weed eater / brush cutter has been more then worth the price on our property and many others I cut. Only problems I’ve had are just regular issues that happen with everything I’ve wore 3 string heads out so far the original one lasted way longer then the replacements I’ve bought but I’ve been using the Shakespeare Wind-N-Go they seem to last a good bit. I messed up the factory air filter cleaning it and made my own out of filter foam and filter paper. And I was using the brush cutter head and hit a massive rock hidden in the grass and blew a hole in the guard. Then then them small common things I could not recommend these products enough and tell everybody I meet that’s interested in where to find them.

Lot's of power, worst manual in history, bad customer service, terrible product.
Review update: After a few uses, the tube covering the shaft failed where the two pieces joined. It took over a month to get the problem fixed. First I emailed the company and did not hear back. Later they informed me that my email went into their junk folder. They offered to send me a used replacement part, but I held out for a new one. It worked with the new part, but vibrated a lot. The gasket on the shaft fitting wanted to come out (see photo) I have only used this trimmer about 30 times, and today the vibration suddenly got very bad , like something was out of balance. I looked down, and lubricating oil was coming out of the fitting where the two shafts join (see picture). The only opinion I can offer is that the poor customer service is exceeded only by the terrible quality of the product itself. The good: - Very powerful. I was able to cut through thickets of blackberries, stems up to an inch and a half in diameter, with no problems. I bumped a cedar fence picket by accident, and it cut right into it. - Comes with lots of accessories. - For me it started easily every time. Others have indicated it floods easily. I give the fuel pump two presses, pull it one time with the choke on, and then once with the choke off. It has always started on the second pull - The included fuel bottle makes it easy to mix the oil and gasoline in the proper ratio (fill the two compartments appropriately and then pour the whole thing into the fuel tank. The bad: - The manual makes ikea instructions look like a NASA manual. The depiction of how the handlebars go on was different in different pictures. It took me several tries to get the handlebars on correctly and figure out how to get the nut off the end of the shaft (there is a hole in the housing through which you can insert a small rod or phillips screwdriver and insert it also into a matching hole in the shaft to hold the shaft in place while you loosen the nut). I wasted an hour or so figuring out how to assemble it. Thank you youtube for saving me. - There is foam padding on the shaft above the handlebars. I braced the shaft against my hip or thigh during use, and the padding tore and fell off after an hour or so. - The blade guard can be a hinderance in brush. - It vibrates a lot, which is expected, but be prepared for residual muscle and finger numbness and shakiness after using it for a while. The bottom line: It works great, and for me has been worth the price and hassle. I have only used it with the chainsaw tooth blade on Himalayan blackberries. But it laid waste to the brambles with no hesitation or resistance. I was able to sweep it back and forth through brambles up to 6 feet high and left behind a trail of foot long stem chunks. You definitely want to respect this machine. It can kickback. It can throw debris. It is noisy. And if it hit a body part, it would do serious damage. Heavy clothes, googles or a face shield, and good ear plugs are all musts. The harness has a crotch protector for a reason. The goggles that come with it were too cheap for me to trust.

VERY IMPRESSED with product.
WORKS GREAT !!! Starts... runs every time. Weighs about 25 lbs. but does come with a harness and once you find your groove...it fits great.

Poor instructions, significant work required to use
The trimmer itself appears to be of decent quality, with longevity to be determined. Negatives: -The instruction manual and customer support are pretty worthless. The instruction manual is for a different model and I have been unable to get the right manual from customer support. Several emails have been unsuccessful. -The handle assembly is located too far from the motor and the balance is way off. The handle assembly must be disassembled and relocated back toward the motor like shown in the listing picture. -The youtube video referenced for assembly is pathetic. For example, you can't put the cutter assembly on the main unit as shown because the drive shaft slides out. Anit-sieze should also be used sparingly with only a touch on the bolt threads otherwise it make a horrible mess. -The unit is right handed only. It may be convertible, but i didn't attempt to do so.,and of course there are no instructions to do so. Summary: IF you are handy with tools and don't mind spending some time time and effort figuring things out and working on the unit, it could be worthwhile. Using out of the box with the instructions supplied just isn't going to work well. -

Great budget friendly option for the average home property owner.
Everything worked as it said it would. Started right up on 3rd pull following the start up procedure in the manual. Runs and operates like any other 2 stroke yard tool. It is a heavier trimmer but I had expected that for the engine size. The harness takes a little adjusting but works well once you get it sorted out. I’ve ran 1.5 tanks of fuel so far with the string head and it works great. Upgrading to a higher quality string is probably a good suggestion. Cuts well but seems a little brittle and jammed a couple times. Reloading is simple and same as most other string heads. I haven’t tried the blade heads yet but it has plenty of power to run them I’m sure. So far it seems to be fairly well built and worth the money comparing it to the same size, name brand options. The manual has all the parts numbers listed and contact for the company so I’m hoping replacements parts are available to fix if things break but I think it should hold its own against the big brands. For just a home owner who familliar with gas powered equipment and just needs something to maintain or help clear your property, it’s a great budget option without sacrificing power to get bigger jobs done. Spending less than half of what I would on a name brand option of the same size gave me more of a budget for other tools I needed.

Super Brush Cutter
This brush cutter is a beast and definitely heavy duty very well constructed. Easy to assemble and very powerful. Starts easy. Used it to clear small brush up to 2 inches thick and grass cut like butter. Not for basic small grass trimming as is heavy and needs the harness to operate properly. Arrived early and is excellent value for the money.

Impressive machine. Appears to be of surprisingly good quality for the price.
42.7cc brush cutter is definitely heavy. I thought people were exaggerating in the reviews that I had read. However, it is quite an impressive machine. It only took me about half an hour to assemble. However, it took me somewhat longer to figure out the harness. Since I am not very tall, I had to put the straps to shortest possible length. The handlebars had to be moved toward the motor as well as the bracket for the harness for a more comfortable fit. Once done and the weight properly distributed to each shoulder and the machine balanced, it was quite comfortable to use. Put some hi test gasoline mixed 50:1 in machine as instructed. It started on fourth pull, no problem. I have not yet tested it on small shrubs but have no doubt that it will but through things like a hot knife through butter. The safety equipment and blades included might not be of best quality but still adequate. I purchased some chaps for foot, leg and knee protection since I will only be using this machine for cutting shrubs. It is a little to heave to be used as a whipper snipper (the string head was included). Will need to contact manufacturer whether shaft needs to be periodically lubed.

Can Cheap Be This Good
To be honest I was concerned about buying this weed trimmer brush cutter as I had never heard of the Brand Name before and also the very cheap price may be a red flag. I owned for 12 years a Stihl grass trimmer brush cutter so in a way I am comparing this one with the Stihl which today costs around $ 700.00. Now this trimmer is a bit on the heavy side and at first that was a bit of a disappointment. However when one wears the strap I find it does a nice balance and it no longer feels heavy. In fact it balances better than my Stihl which blew a piston and that is why I bought this one. I have not yet used the harness that comes with this machine as it looks complicated to put on. I just used my simple belt that came with my Stihl. My Stihl blades also fit on to this machine but not the grass trimmer head. Now I found the instructions kind of not great as far as assembly instructions. I just looked at the picture from the listing on here to see how it should be done. Really not a lot to do. Just install the handle bars with the 4 screws and also install the lower plastic safety housing at the bottom of the shaft and also install the shaft into the main shaft. All tools needed come with the package. I found it extremely difficult to pull the starter cord. I could only pull it out about 8 inches and not fast enough to ever start it. I wondered whether the piston was stuck or something. I decided to remove the Spark Plug and see if I can see the Piston move. The piston did move and now with no compression it was real easy to pull the cord. I re-installed the spark plug and now to my surprise it was verily easy to pull out the cord and in two pulls it started right up. I think the engine had never ever been started and my 10 pulls or so with the spark plug out lubricated the piston chamber and that is why it became easy to pull the cord. If you also find it very hard to pull the cord at first, remove the spark plug and give it at least 10 pulls and you will then see a huge difference. I was surprised on how easy this starts. The bulb that one squeezes before starting is kind of hard to see, so one has to look for it. One question I ask myself is how does one remove the gray plastic housing that encompasses the carburetor as there are no screws to remove. Also can one buy parts as in spark plugs, ignition coils and carburetors if one had to replace those. I used it to cut some two inch sapling trees with the blade that has chain saw teeth and it cut through those little trees like hot butter. So far I like it almost better than the Stihl. Maybe ask me 6 months from now if I will still say that. Being cheap how long will it last? . Also when one installs the blades or weed trimmer head one must turn the screw to the left to tighten as it is left handed thread set up. To take off turn to the right. There is also a little hole at the base where one sticks in a pin to stop the blades from turning so one can tighten or loosen it. I think all weed trimmers have that. The headset included is a joke. I tried making every adjustment and it does not even come close to fitting over my head. I think it may fit a two week old baby’s head. The safety glasses not my style and the gloves are not great. No big deal. I would sooner see a 10.00 price reduction and leave those useless items out. So far with my limited use I am really impressed. I used a 1 Liter to 40 oil mix and also used Premium 91 High Octane gas. Manual says to use 1/50 mix and regular gas, while on this listing it says to use 1/40 mix for gas. So which is the real deal?
