Seriously, this is the best Kava extract money can buy. The taste is awful, yes, but I suggest that instead of diluting it or keeping it in your mouth as some do with tinctures, just pinch your nose as you swallow it and have a flavorful chaser ready. If you get past that, the effects are stronger than I could get with any way of brewing kava! Not medical advice, but I usually also have more than one dropper (maybe two or three per dose, sometimes twice or on rare occasions three times a day depending on my anxiety, with good long breaks in between on non-anxious days) but start with one because it really, seriously does work. My anxiety fades within minutes, I feel at peace and all around great from it! Also keep in mind that kava is known to have reverse tolerance, so if you don’t think the amount you took did anything don’t increase the dose before you try it another two or three times. It does work right away but that reverse tolerance of kava might be why this product doesn’t have a perfect five-star rating. Also, the taste. It isn’t good. But it’s worth it. By the time you’re done with the bottle, I promise you’ll have experienced some amazing kava bliss. Dial in your dose and you will have a seriously dependable anxiolytic in your arsenal to combat life’s constant stress. It’s worth every penny, and I’ve ordered this dozens of times. This kava tincture is one of the best brands of kava I have tried. The taste is absolutely horrendous but once your past that it works great. I use kava to help calm my anxiety, in stressful situations bc I get panic attacks in large crowds. Anytime I feel that nervousness I take a dropper full with a shot of Diet Coke. The instructions say to add to glass of water but I can’t get that down. For me it helps to just take it like a shot cough syrup, man up, and move forward lol

I actually felt the Kava kick in within the first few minutes. As a matter of fact, I’m writing this review because I’m in an upbeat mood after taking the Kava. It’s a great product. But the taste is horrible! Lol I was thinking about putting it under my tongue without any juice. That would’ve been a mistake! It says to put one dropper in 2 ounces of water or juice. I put it 8 ounces of juice and the taste was still pretty strong. It also made my tongue feel a little numb for a few minutes. Nothing crazy. But honestly, I’m super skeptical about products stating that it would put you in a better mood or mood enhancers. But this is legit.

I feel like it does relax me pretty well. The effect is subtle but noticeable. It doesn’t make me drowsy or too relaxed. If I’m feeling anxious before bed it can get me more relaxed and comfy making it easier to fall asleep but not knocking me out like a sleeping pill would. One problem I have is that it doesn’t last very long. I’ll typically feel it for maybe less than 30 mins. Not a huge problem when trying to fall asleep but if you wanted to use this for anxiety through out the day you’ll probably end up having to redose. My family members have also tried it and it seems to work even better for them. I just shoot the dropper into my mouth or sometimes I’ll put it in a drink. In the mouth it can burn and it doesn’t taste great but in a drink it’s not that bad. I have never tried any other kava products besides this and some kava pills so idk how it compares. Compared to the pills though this was better for me. It’s a bit pricey IMO but if you don’t take it too often it can last you a pretty long time. Overall I like it. I think at this point I’ve bought this like 3-4 times. Maybe I’ll buy another bottle again once this one runs out.

I wanted to love this because I’ve had good experiences with other kava products, but this one was absolutely brutal. No matter what I mixed it with, the taste completely took over. I tried disguising it in drinks and somehow it just made the drinks taste equally horrifying. Strong black licorice/herbal bitterness with an aftertaste that lingered far longer than necessary. I’m usually pretty tolerant of herbal supplements, but this was one of the few products I genuinely could not force myself to finish. Maybe the effects are wonderful, but unfortunately my taste buds never made it that far.

I am not sure if this is superior to others because of their amount or just because it was my first time using it. At first, meaning the first bottle. I achieved a great effect when using about 20 drops that felt like a rush/punch in the face. I wasn't looking for anything but a mild anxiolytic, and I think it does that sometimes, and other times I have a paradoxical reaction where it makes me panic more. I do react extremely strangely to things, but Kava almost seems to heighten my awareness which can sometimes randomly decrease or increase my anxiety. It also gave me a mild desire of increased interest with my first bottle. These effects were never replicated again when stopping it, and then trying it later for what I thought was tolerance. It also is short acting. Maybe like 1 hour for me, and creates insane levels of nausea that personally lasted over 1 day from one use. Product is legit, and good though which is what the consumer cares about, and what has influenced this rating.

I tried this 3 years ago and preferred it to other kavas. I didn't mind the taste. It was so great, because I have PTSD and was able to get off anxiety meds for the first time in 15 years. I would have given it 5 stars back then. About a year ago, the kava started arriving separated. The kava crystals had sunk to the bottom and there was a bunch of the cane alcohol at the top. The liquid had a yellow tint rather than clear amber like it's supposed to be. This alcohol is REALLY strong because they use it to extract the kava. So after I finished the crystals, it was basically a bunch of liquor left. Amazon gave me refunds and I would order more. Usually it was okay at first, but sometimes separated. I would just keep it at that point. But then they all started to be like that and I had to refund the stuff I got with my refund. Then it was finally starting to get back to normal, but when I tried it, it was sour, like sour milk. It still worked, but it gave my bad stomach problems and I refunded it again. This happened twice. Then I got some more separated ones. I tried to refund those, but I got an email from Amazon saying I was doing too many and they had to open an INVESTIGATION about my new refund request. The only reason I kept buying them was because it was the product that helped me get off the medication. Now the price has kept going up. It's over $50 with taxes for one bottle. I'm going to get it at the local store from now on because I can't afford to buy something that's either mainly a $50 4 oz bottle of alcohol or sour and not be able to get a refund because I'm being accused of something. It's really a shame. I hate to give it less than 3 stars because of the other years it helped me.

I’ve started working a very hectic job in the past year, and have subsequently turned into a zombie. Has a dreadful, earthy alcohol taste. I took 2 0.7ml directly to the mouth. May have had a slight relaxing effect.

Tastes pretty baf, but it works

I’ve tried plenty of Kava and love the effects, however the method to make it is inconvenient. I thought this would be a great alternative but unfortunately it does absolutely nothing. It tastes (disgustingly) like Kava, but has zero of the effects. Don’t waste your money and try a reputable vendor .
