I bought the SmallRig Super Clamp Kit thinking I’d use it occasionally. Turns out this thing has become the most reliable relationship in my life. At first I just used it for my camera setup, which it handled like a champ. Then I realized it can clamp onto basically anything. Desk, shelf, chair, random pole, probably a tree if I really wanted to get creative. At this point I’m convinced it could hold my entire life together if I asked nicely. The build quality is no joke. This thing grips so tight it feels personal. Once it’s locked in, it’s not moving unless you file a formal request and wait 3 to 5 business days. I’ve started using it for things that have nothing to do with filming. Phone holder, light mount, temporary “I need this right here right now” solution. It’s basically the duct tape of camera gear, but somehow more aggressive. Only downside is now I look at everyday objects and think, “I could clamp something to that.” It’s changed how I see the world. If you need something held in place and you don’t trust gravity to do its job, this is it.

The SMALLRIG Super Clamp Kit is an absolute beast. Right out of the box, it came in perfect condition, and you can immediately feel the quality. The build is solid, heavy-duty, and definitely made to last. I’ve used it to mount lights, monitors, and other accessories, and it holds everything rock steady, load capacity is no joke — it clamps down tight and doesn’t budge once you lock it in. Having both a 1/4"-20 and a 3/8"-16 top makes it super versatile for different setups, which is a huge plus. What I love most is the confidence it gives me on set. I can clamp this onto stands, tables, poles, and it just works flawlessly. No slipping, no wobbling, just pure reliability. It's a little bigger than I thought it would be. Clamps very solid on metal pipes. For flat surfaces you need to use the small piece of included plastic in the V of the clamp. Plenty of holding power for my full frame camera with an attached lens.

I bought this SMALLRIG Super Clamp to mount a Starlink dish to my steel bumper during off-road trips. The clamp itself is very well made and feels extremely solid right out of the box. It grips tightly, has a lot of clamping force, and the overall build quality is excellent. Where I ran into an issue was using it on a moving vehicle over rough terrain. After repeated bumps and vibration on off-road trails, the mounting screw eventually sheared off. That kind of constant shock and movement is a tough environment for any clamp-mounted setup, and in hindsight, this probably isn’t what the clamp was designed for. Outside of that specific use case, I’ve had no complaints. The clamp is strong, versatile, and works great for stationary or controlled setups. I continue to use it regularly for other applications where the vehicle isn’t in motion, and it performs exactly as expected. Overall, this is a high-quality, heavy-duty clamp, but I wouldn’t recommend it for mounting equipment to a moving vehicle on rough roads. Used within its intended purpose, it’s a solid piece of gear and worth buying.

We have been using these clamps for some time now. We use them to hold lighting, cameras and even booms...and wow are they strong. They are super well made and easy to use. They come with a host of options for mounting all sorts of equipment. Can't suggest these clamps (or any SmallRig products) enough.

The real thing! Very well designed and constructed. Truly deserved the “super” in its name. The one and only tiny flaw is that a stud does not seat perfectly in the receptacle, causing it to sit slightly crooked once the set screw is tightened. All the threaded fittings are perfect. I did not buy it for stud use so that’s not a dealbreaker but if it were corrected this would be a perfect product.

These are the best lighting clamps that I have found. And they work well on aluminum trusses without damaging the aluminum.

I've come to expect high quality from Smallrig, after spending far too much money on multiple clamps and accessories, and this clamp is no exception. It's solid, and works really smoothly. The addition of the light attachment bar makes it perfect for impossible lighting angles, and the little wedge that allows to switch from flat surfaces to bars is ingenious! It attached to anything you want, and can open to 3cm easily, which covers most tables and solid surfaces, so it's useable everywhere!

It is smallrig so it is going to be good quality! I attached it together with the big magic arm on a drift car a few times and the only thing that destroyed was it being crushed and run over by another drift car. That is why i orderd another one of these clamps. Good clamp, good strength, good quality. Just don't run it over with a 1000hp car.

Sturdy and good quality. You can shift handle position without screwing/unscrewing by lifting handle and turn. Maybe they can develop it further by tightening it more like a pipe clamp that does not press on the middle of a tube...so it potentially could damage the tube. It does not really tighten "around" the tube but rather with a "point" pressing down at the middle of a tube.
