This is a perfect fit for my fireplace and great if you have nosy cats who like to explore.Door alignment looks square but mine has a slight gap when closed of about 3/16" which I think is due to the stop they have for the doors to meet in the center of the frame. Very lightweight yet feels sturdy and strong, and the doors slide easily, which the doors are the reason I chose this one because my kitten can't climb, knock over or jump over like she'd be able to if I'd bought a regular screen. Easy to assemble, directions are fairly clear, works great, looks nice, keeps stuff inside the fireplace and keeps the cats out!

The screen is as shown! I like how it looks and it fits my fireplace well. Be sure to measure; I needed coverage for a 36in wide by 29.5in high fireplace opening. I checked my box once I got it to count all the pieces (thankfully every thing was in the box; the only extras they provide are one extra of the short screw and one extra of the long screw—you’ll know what I am referencing if you end up buying this). It was relatively easy to put together for one person; the instructions were pretty straightforward to me. Take your time and be sure to have flat space to work with. It’s stable enough to where I didn’t need to add the feet pieces that keep it from falling backwards; if I had added them it would have prevented this screen from being flush against the brick because of how my fireplace is constructed. You will have to remove the little alphabet letter stickers (that guide you on how to put it together) once it’s assembled. The doors slide nicely for it being new out of the box/first assembled; I hope it stays that way over time and after being exposed to heat from the fireplace. There were some of what appeared to be rust like/rust colored spots on some of the black coloring of the screen; I wiped them with a dry napkin and it came off. Some spots didn’t come off but on mine they were in inconspicuous places that won’t be seen.

Although it did take some putting together, at least parts were numbered and easy to follow. The the look of this fireplace screen and the ease of use is wonderful. When my family visited they said the screen made our living room look more updated. The screens slide with ease and open wide enough to place new longs. I highly recommend this product!

I bought this fireplace screen to keep my little kids away from the fireplace, and it’s been a great solution. The sliding doors make it easy to access when needed, and the build quality feels solid and secure. It looks nice in the living room and gives me peace of mind knowing the area is safely covered. Definitely a good buy for families with young children!

This product is incredibly poorly made. One of the metal screens was dented on delivery and one of the handles couldn’t be attached since the screws couldn’t line up with the predrilled holes. The pieces barely fit together and once assembled the sliding screens expand slightly causing them to stick and no longer slide properly when exposed to the heat from the fireplace. No response from the manufacturer.. Don’t buy this item or from this company.

We finally came to the conclusion we needed a fireplace screen because our dog’s toys kept bouncing into the fireplace opening when playing catch and getting covered in soot. So I gave this screen a try. We absolutely Love it!! We wanted clean straight lines to stick with the look of the stone. Assembly was easy enough, the printed instructions were not clear to me, but thankfully I did watch their instructional video before purchasing so I had an idea of how it should go. I did have to switch the I and J bars once I figured out the top and bottom (the extra double holes on the outer panels are the bottom). And I also made the mistake of going out of order with sliding in the doors. It was easier to work on the piece with the sliding doors off but once you put the front feet on, you can’t add the doors. So off came the feet, the sliding doors in, and the feet back on. We got the smaller size and it butts right up against the fireplace opening. Adding the bottom L bars is extra stability. The screen quality is very nice and this is heavy duty. The doors slide well, and the small handles weren’t part of the instructions but easy to figure out. There were a couple extra screws but I’d rather have that than not enough screws. We don’t actually burn wood in the fireplace so I have no idea how this would be for heat retention, but the metal isn’t too thick. I imagine this would allow good heat to spread thru the room from a fire. I ordered and was able to have it delivered next day. We’re very happy with this purchase.

Flimsy and doors don’t shut. Doors are also so light that as soon as I assembled it and walked away my cat opened the doors and went inside. I liked the way it fit in the fireplace and it seems sturdy enough but with doors that won’t fully close it is not worth it. Easy to assemble and would be probably be okay in a pinch if there were no kids or pets in a home.

What a wonderful screen I found. I needed one that was tall enough to cover the open space and found this. The whole family likes this, it's very effective and great looking.

I ordered this because I went from 1 dog to three dogs and they really like the heat :) I needed to protect them as they were getting too close. This grate looks amazing! Makes my gas fireplace look like it is a real wood burning fireplace! In the photo if you look carefully there is a cockapoo relaxing in front of the fire :)

Very cheaply made and the photos don't accurately depict the finished product. Cheap metal, you need to assemble it, multiple parts and the screws are all visible. If you have a nice fireplace this will downgrade the look of your fireplace. I spent 1.5 hours unpacking, assembling and disassembeling then packing it for return. I should be compensated for that lost time. One of the worst products I have ever received from Amazon

Not too bad cheap build quality and doors do not close together leaving a gap, you get what you pay for I guess. Once we had put them together it was too much bother to return and no customer service person from the seller to contact for advice on how to fix
