A high quality, easily used, reasonably priced product
. I got notice that the price, already quite reasonable, fell so I decided to give this Lexol kit a go. This is my first experience with a high quality leather cleaner and conditioner, and the seats in The Bride's '07 Tucson and my '12 Santa Fe needed cleaning so I thought "Why not? The seats in both cars are tan and could use some attention." The kit contains bottles of cleaner and conditioner, a rectangular pad (I used it for cleaning) and a round pad with a pocket for fingers (I used it for conditioning.) First my six-year-old Santa Fe, which has been off the used car lot about fifteen months and wasn't really dirty yet. The cleaner didn't make a lot of difference because the car was prepped well when I bought it, but I did notice a slight dinginess removed after cleaning. The cleaner did remove some dirt from the steering wheel and the door pull handle, both surfaces often touched by a hand. The conditioner made them a little more supple and a little less grabby - not slick but there is noticeably less friction when getting in and out of the car. The feel of the steering wheel is better. Then The Bride's ten-year-old Tucson, which we bought new. The seats had never been cleaned aside from an occasional wipe down with a damp rag. There was some wear around the edges of the seats where the hard plastic side trim rubbed the leather seat cushions and some noticeable damage on the driver's seat back at the bottom outboard area of the bolster where the seat belt has rubbed since late 2007 - the surface finish has cracked and exposed the raw leather underneath. The cleaner removed a lot of dinginess that was so uniform we didn't notice it, but it's gone now. It also removed most of the wear marks around the borders of the cushions but I didn't want to get too happy with it and do further damage with too much rubbing. The conditioner, as in the Santa Fe, improved the feel of the seats and the steering wheel and softened the leather at the wear point on the driver's seat back. When I was finished I noticed the pad used for cleaning wasn't extremely dirty but the pad used for conditioning certainly was. I concluded that I should first have wiped down the seats in both cars with a damp rag to remove dust - I didn't clean the back seats because they're rarely used - so the conditioning pad got dirty from dust. I left the windows open about an inch overnight in case some outgassing from the conditioner might leave a gunky film on the window glass, but I don't see any. There is no perfume I can smell in the conditioner, but there is a smell like lanolin. Also, point to make: The products are water based. Make sure the pads are damp when starting the project, keep them damp, and work the cleaner and conditioner into the pads before starting so they are slightly soaked. This helps work up a lather when using the cleaning pad. Overall, a good first experience with a high quality, easily used, reasonably priced product. .

No oily residue left on leather if you follow the directions!
I finally had a chance to use my new leather care products. I will use Lexol to clean and condition my leather speed bags and for the leather furniture in my house. So far I have used it to clean and condition a speed bag. I bought a vintage speed bag that is about 15 to 20 years old. It is in excellent condition for it's age but needed some TLC to get it perfect. Older leather on a speed bag if not stored properly over the years can dry out and crack, and with something like this once it cracks it ruins the bag as pieces begin to come off. Also most people over the years do not clean the leather on their speed bag and the dirt and grime also lead to premature wearing of the leather. The speed bag in question had nice, light kidskin leather. It had no cracking and no visible dirt. I followed the directions and first cleaned the speed bag and then conditioned it. I did notice that the the cleaning rag did get dirty showing that even though there was no visible dirt, there was still dirt on the bag. The results were very good! The bag itself was a little more shiny after the cleaning and conditioning, and the leather feels a bit softer. Best of all there is no oily residue feeling on the bag! If it remained oily after the treatment, that would tend to attract dust, and this product does not leave that. I will add more once I use this product on my leather couches. So far I am happy with this product.

Good starter kit.
There are numerous spray leather cleaner and conditioner out there and I was curious to see how different they are. Here are my findings: 1. I tried 5 spray leather cleaner and conditioner are priced between $7-9 for a 16 FL ounce bottle and this kit. 2. For about $10 (that's when I got it) you get a a bottle of 8 FL OZ cleaner and a bottle of 8 FL OZ conditioner and two applicator sponges. With all that you really are set to take care of your leather stuff. 3. The cleaner has no weird smell, which is good. The only thing that I was not too fond of was that it's very runny/watery, thus it's easy to spill out a lot. It does its job of cleaning basic grime from every day use, but it does not remove heavier stains or jean's dye (at least it didn't on my handbag I tried on). 4. The conditioner has a neutral scent (no added scent), which I prefer. It's a very light lotion, not as watery as the cleaner though. It's a good basic conditioner and after using a cleaner, you definitely must use a conditioner to protect your leather stuff. That's why it comes in a set. However, I do find it a bit of a hassle to use 2 products and having to do 2 steps. I'm a busy working mom and prefer to use a leather cleaner and conditioner in ONE, such as the WhooHoo-Clean Leather Conditioner and Cleaner in One. Luxurious Leather Lotion for Your Designer and Fine Leather Goods. Protect Your Leather Investment. 15 FL OZ. Made in USA! . Great for maintenance work, one step, saves time. 5. When I compare the spray leather cleaner and conditioner to a leather lotion, I have to say that the leather lotion feels more luxurious and the leather is more hydrated and softer. 6. For smaller and more expensive leather goods, I prefer to use the WhooHoo-Clean leather care. If I pay several hundred or thousands of dollars for a leather item, I want to keep it new looking for a long time! In my opinion, any real leather can and will benefit from a good leather care product (with high customer reviews!). Think about it, leather is like skin, it will get dry with time and particularly usage. Just pick one that fits your budget and use it regularly!

Lexol is a longtime favorite of auto detailers and restorers
One of the most highly regarded leather treatment products is Lexol, so that's what I went with to clean and protect the leather on my new car. Lexol is a longtime favorite of auto detailers and restorers, so it's a pretty trusted name. Lexol contains no chemical solvents, and itโs odorless and non-greasy, which is important. I've tried some others and it just felt like I had smeared Crisco on them. The Lexol kit includes plenty of product and a couple of application sponges.I've found that a little goes a long way with this stuff. I did a 3-row SUV and a 2-row truck and had hardly dented the bottle. First up is the leather cleaner. Lexol cleaner has the consistency of thickened liquid soap, so a pourable bottle makes sense. To use the cleaner, simply pour a bit onto a sponge or cotton cloth and rub into the leather. The cleaner will generate bubbles (not unlike soap) that supposedly help with the gentle cleaning process. In my experience, I found the leather cleaner to be a little too mild for my tastes. Itโs so gentle on the leather, itโs probably better suited for ongoing maintenance of a vehicle, rather than restoration. It did get rid of some dirt and very minor marks, but old ground in oil stains, lipstick, or similar stains might escape full cleaning. My seats were pretty clean, but in a dirtier car, a stronger cleaner would probably be desired. Lexol Leather Conditioner claims to restore the oils used in the tanning process, and therefore extend the life of leather. It โfeeds leather,โ helping to keep it soft and supple. Lexol Leather Conditioner has a runny consistency. Application is simple enough (pour and rub) and ot goes on very easily. Again, a little goes a long way. One bottle would be good for years of applications, assuming a quarterly treatment. We tend to keep vehicles for a long service life; therefore a little preventative maintenance in the form of Lexol Leather Conditioner makes good sense. Keeping the leather seating surface pliable helps prevent tears and rips, and helps it hold up as the miles increase.

Worked just okay on old tan leather seats of Jeep.
I have a 2001 jeep with tan leather. I must say I didn't see a huge difference when I cleaned it as far as it looking just amazing, but the sponge was gross looking so it must have done something. I haven't tried it on my husband or son's leather seats. I do think the leather felt cleaner. Not sure about how "conditioned" it was. I will give it another go and update review if necessary. Not a bad price to try it out though. There is a smell to it but it will fade out in a day. I read the instructions wrong and got BOTH sponges damp instead of just the one so I used a cloth to buff instead of the damp sponge. I also felt unsure how much you're really supposed to squirt on the sponge to apply. It is a bottle you squeeze out onto the sponge. Not a spray. So this would make it sort of blob onto whatever your cleaning and you have to smush it all around. I am not sure if I was using too much or too little. I can't blame the product for user confusion of course.

Great product, Awesome Price.....(satisfaction)
I recently bought a used car and I wanted to clean the leather seats before I start using it as my daily driver. So I did some research and was impressed by the feedback about Lexol products. It arrived on time and I cleaned the interior. I was amazed by the results of the cleaner and the conditioner. The seats were clean and soft after the application. They look new and fresh. It gives the leather a new life. Since then I ordered this for my cousin too and he just cleaned his car that he just bought. And I can say that every time you look at seats you feel happy for the hard work you did to clean the seats. It definitely takes some time and hard work (depending on the condition of the leather, of course) but the end results are stunning. Its regular use can extend the life of interior and your love for the car itself. Most importantly, it DOES NOT cost a fortune. Sure the bottles are not too big in size, still you can use it two to three times depending on the car and usage.

Great product for auto's or leather couches! Keeps my leather clean and looking new!
When my Husband was a teen he worked at a car dealership cleaning and detailing cars. Ever since then he has always used Lexol to care for the leather in our vehicles. With 4 kids and 3 dogs I think our car seats are extremely abused. Lexol keeps the seats clean and the leather supple. Since getting my newer car with sunroof's I have found it's extra important to keep the leather moisturized and clean. The sun roof can magnify the sunshine and make the leather very dry. I recently used the Lexol leather cleaner and conditioner on my couch after my dog ran into the house with muddy feet. I usually use leather cleaning wipes on my couch but was very happy with the results of using the Lexol. The leather looked brand new again and it hasn't looked that way since the couch came into the house 3 years ago! This is a great kit to get acquainted with Lexol. It comes with two applicator sponges and the cleaner and conditioner - each is 8 ounces. This is a lot of Lexol as a little goes a long way. The applicators can go into the washing machine with zero problems. I tossed them in with my cleaning rags and they came out clean. You don't need the applicators, you can use a towel and the results are the same. I paid full price for this kit and am providing this review for informational purposes only.

Saved my beige leather seats from my dark rinse jeans!
My new car has beige leather seats which I LOVE, but are much more of a hassle than I realized they would be. Less than a week after picking up my new car I noticed that my brand new dark rinse jeans had transferred onto the seat and left blue stains on the seats. I quickly got online to look at the best way to handle this, and decided to try out the Lexol product as it was more reasonably priced than many others and had good reviews. I'm so glad I did! This is very easy to use, and I had no problem cleaning off the stains without harming my seats. The included sponges are great, and because they are so white I was able to clearly see how much of the blue color was being taken off of my seats. Obviously I'm now being a little more careful about making sure my clothes are not going to attack my seats, but I'm glad that I have this in the garage to use whenever I have mishaps with my seats. I would highly recommend this product to help keep your leather as pretty as the day you got it!

Excellent product, reasonable price
Better than Leather Honey: easier to apply, uses less of the product and not such a long wait afterwards. Much less expensive than the Leather Honey and you don't use as much of it on any item. Unlike the typical brands of leather treatment liquids that I have bought at automotive parts retail stores, this kit leaves the leather feeling like new. i.e. It does not have a strange plasticky look or feel after application. After using the cleaner liquid, use a damp towel to wash off any excess and any dirt. As the instructions suggest. This removes any film left on the leather. Then, use a dry towel to dry it up. The conditioner is excellent but after applying it, let it sit and dry or soak in for 30 minutes before buffing with a soft, dry towel.

Has been taking care of my car seats for years.
I have been using Lexus leather cleaner and conditioner on the leather seats of my cars for a very long time and have been using it exclusively to maintain the seats in my latest Lexus for a few years now. There is a strange satisfaction I get from using a product that kind of sounds like it's named for the car I'm using it on, but it isn't the reason why I first used it which was from word of mouth long before it was as easily available as it is today on Amazon (not to mention I used to have to pay far more for it). It has kept the leather on the seats of my car looking new over the years and they aren't dulling or cracking one bit. My seats are black and none of the colour transfers from my seats to the towel I use to apply and buff out the Lexol. As with all leather cleaning products, they WILL expose whether or not the leather you're cleaning is any good or not and poorly made leather products will have their colour transfer out. This isn't the fault of the cleaner if it happens. My number one tip for getting the most out of Lexol is that while you can use the cleaner any time, it's best to apply it to warm leather just because it's easier to work with compared to frozen leather. The conditioner on the other hand almost absolutely should be done on warm to even hot leather (after it has been cleaned) otherwise it won't work into the leather. I only condition the seats in the summer after I've left the car in the sun in the afternoon. I apply the conditioner work it in, and then leave it alone for a while to soak in and THEN buff out any remaining residue after. You'll find it works better and goes further this way. This kit in particular is a really good value, and a little bit of the product will go a long way if used properly.

Doesn't soften.
It doesn't soften the material, or any difference in material. I don't think I will purchase again.
