Offers powerful, crystal clear bass while minimizing expense
I did a lot of research before buying this. I wanted a single 15 with around 500W RMS, and needed it dual 2 ohm coils. Sure there are plenty of offerings from the major brands such as Alpine, Pioneer, Kicker etc but they all cost considerably more. And yes, there are a few gems out there in the budget brands we all love to knock, but I didn't feel like dealing with the trial and error of finding something decent. Scar has built a good reputation for quality speakers for any budget, and their amps are top notch, so I opted for this one. While I was waiting on it to arrive, I built the enclosure to spec according to Skar's website at just under 2 cubic feet using 3/4" MDF. The sub is being fed by a nice older Memphis-16MXA1.500, with the dual 2 ohm coils wired in parallel at 1ohm. There's not much to say other than it sounds good. Not just good for the money, I mean the quality is great. The output volume when matched with the mono block more than meet my expectations. I would buy this again without question, if I needed another one. I highly doubt it happens though, as I already get that "Damn kids these days" look from my neighbors when pulling out, and I'm in my 30s.

Bang for the buck.
I had 2 10" Skar IX series in the trunk area of my Odyssey and they just weren't cutting through when the windows were down. But I had had them for a few years and they were reliable and sounded great, so when I saw the the level up (SDR) 15" for $120 I jumped on it. No problem hearing the bass now. Unbelievable the difference between the 2 setups with the same wattage, same amp. Low budget Blaupunkt amp (200W rms-ish) is driving this thing with ease. I listen to a lot of metal that can be really hard on subs with the distortion, but this thing laughs at that. Digs deep for modern hip hop too. Never owned a 15 before and regret not switching earlier. 3 Cuft sealed box. Boom.

This sub pounds and shakes my car like crazy and has really deep low bass.i love it.im gonna get another and dang it will really pound than.im running the rp-1200.1d skar amp it's 500 watts rms at 4ohm,800 watts at 2ohm rms and 1200 watts at 1ohm but actually the amp is more watts at each so be careful if you get this amp. Great sub when it doesn't come with issues
Love the subs. Definitely a bang for your bucc product! After over a year with a used pair one finally passed away to subwoofer heaven. In an attempt to replace my beloved sub, I ordered one which blew a voice coil in maybe 2 weeks tops. Ordered another and had the same issue in just one week. Power has been reduced upon introduction as with all others.

Quality for the $$
I bought one of these about 7 months ago not ever hearing of the brand. I read the reviews and took a chance. Skar has exceeded my expectations on a budget build. So I bought another and got the 1200.1d skar amp. I’ve yet to hook them both up but I know it’s going to sound good. Both 15’s and the amp shipped fast. I’m hooked on skar and highly recommend there products to anyone.

Best sub skar makes
Don’t overpower it. But on the right amount of power 500-600rms it’s amazing. Very loud and sounds amazing. You can get very loud without having to spend tons on amps and batteries and all that crap that adds up fast. On lower power you can feel your heart exploding
