Fernco GIDDS-301112 Cast Iron, Plastic and Steel Pipe Flexible Coupling Connector Sewer and Drain Coupler Adapter, 120 V, Black, 2" x 1-1/2"

Used to step down to 40mm solvent weld from old lead pipe in my bathroom just before the stack. Popped an extra bead of silicon inside each end just to add another layer of seal and it’s worked perfectly. The lead pipe was over 100 years old and a very awkward size so this was a great solution.

Quality as expected. Extremely durable. This adapter works great for my sump pump installation to deflect the spray from the weep hole into the sump crock. Just slice the rubber boot length wise in half, take one half and clamp the small end around the pipe above the weep hole with the larger end over but not blocking the weep hole.

Sometimes Fernco is the only fitting that will work without adding lots of work.
