Stainless Steel 8" Bypass Secateurs

Nice secateurs but the steel isn't very hard, the blade bent just snipping a small camellia branch. ( about 10mm thick.)

Just found a pair on the floor of a shed in a house I've bought. Given I know quite a bit about the provenance if the house, I can guarantee that these haven't been used for over 2 years and are probably 5 years old. The blade is still sharp as anything. Sharper than my other 2 pairs of yeoman secateurs which are brand new. Very little putting on the surface and looking very good after a run with 0000 wire wool. The oak handles need re-oil but that will serve to prevent further rust pits too. The spring is very strong. Not for children or the elderly, but cut like butter through a dead piece of 9mm blackthorn just now. I wouldn't pay for something of this quality without a 50% discount first. This is far too expensive feeling for me. What a tool! To be able to review it for long life on a plastic shed floor where it has been subjected to damp and still day this is awesome.

Do not buy Joseph Bentley tools. Although this product claims to be covered by a "Limited Lifetime Warranty" neither Amazon nor Joseph Bentley will provide the terms of the coverage. I find this to be deceptive and misleading and have no belief that there would be any support in the case of product failure. I will be returning all of my purchases.

the item does not look like this when you receive the pruners, the ones you receive are actually a different model although the same brand even after I returned it once the correction was not fixed
