It's so quiet that I can't hear it unless I'm within about a foot of it. The green light on the top is unobtrusive. I'm very satisfied with the air change frequency. I have several items made by LG and I have full confidence in the brand. The price of the unit stacks up well with other major manufacturers, and the specs for particle removal are comparable or better.
