I have been running these universal triple bellow bags for about four months now on my silverado 1500. I decided to pick them up because my stock suspension was starting to feel tired; specifically when hauling my work trailer or a bed full of lumber. I needed something that could handle the weight without making the truck ride like a brick when it was empty... and these seemed like a solid experiment for the price. The installation was surprisingly straightforward. Since these are universal 2600 lbs bags, they don't come with vehicle-specific mounting brackets, which I knew going in. I had to reuse some plates from my old setup, but once I got the alignment right, it was easy to install. The 1/2 inch npt port is massive compared to the standard 1/4 inch ones you usually see; this is great for airflow if you want the bags to inflate quickly, though I had to use a reducer bushing to fit my existing lines. What I really love is the technical design of the triple bellow. Unlike the standard double bellows I've used before, the extra fold in the rubber gives you significantly more travel stroke. This means I can drop the pressure low for a soft highway cruise or pump them up to 100 psi to level out a heavy load without bottoming out. The good cushioning is noticeable immediately; it absorbs the road bumps way better than the factory bump stops ever did. There is one minor annoyance with going the universal route: you really have to be careful with your clearance. Because these are slightly taller and wider than some stock helper bags, I had to double-check that they weren't rubbing against frame rail or anything else. Also, make sure you use plenty of thread tape on that single port connection; the large diameter means more surface area for potential air leaks if you aren't generous with the sealant. Overall, I love it. They hold pressure well and gave me back the ride quality I was missing. If you are comfortable doing a little custom fitting, it is a fantastic upgrade.

I have a personnel lift that I want to be able to operate without having to remove it from my utility trailer. In order for it to operate correctly, the base- i.e. the trailer floor, needs to be level. By installing these maXpeedingrods Pack of 2 Triple Bellow Air Springs on my trailer axle and using independent air controls and a small 12 volt compressor, I will be able to level the trailer using the tongue jack stand as the third support point. These air springs will also add to the stiffness of the trailer leaf springs to establish a stable platform. These are an economical solution for my project requirement. They seem well-built and the roughly 6 inch travel makes them applicable to a variety of uses.

These airbags are EXACTLY what i have been lookinh for. Ive got a 6x12 3500lb axle utility trailer i use for landscaping trailer. I constantly find myself overloading it weight size. After a call with my grandpa, he suggested I put helper springs in it. I was going to go with the traditional steel coil spring style helper spring, until I saw these. I really like the idea of being able to adjust the air, so my trailer doesnt have to ride super rough when I overload it depending on how overloaded I am. The installation was a bit difficult, but thats because I had to custom fabricate mounts to make my trailer accept and hold these properly. If you were to use these in a normal application, it would probably be way easier. After several months of hard use, theyre still rocking quite well! The bags are made of a heavy duty rubber and quality steel. No doubt guaranteed to last long term.

This set is an awesome value. It’s triple bellow airbags that provides large improvement in load support, towing stability, and ride control. When carrying weight, the vehicle stays level and feels more planted, while unloaded driving remains comfortable and smooth. The materials is thick and feels well made, with solid construction that gives me confidence for long term use. Based on prior experience with Maxspeedingrod products, the quality here is consistent and known for great value. A mechanic inspection confirmed good travel range and material rigidity, which should handle various sized loads without sacrificing comfort. Paired with a compatible compressor system, these airbags are a practical upgrade for anyone looking to improve ride quality, stability, and control when hauling or towing. If you’re looking for bags for the price and quality you really can’t go wrong.
