This product suffers from a schizophrenic description: The arbor is described in some places as 1/4", in other places as 3/8". (Since 3/8" is mentioned only once, while 1/4" is given multiple times, I figured the 3/8" was in error -- but that sloppy description should have been a tip-off that something was wrong).Either size can have some use, but the actual arbor dimension is .345" - too big for 1/4" (.250") wheels, too sloppy for 3/8" (.375") wheels. It's really too bad that it's useless, because the material and finish seem otherwise nice, as if they intended to produce something good.That said, if you want a good 3/8" arbor with 1/4" shank, the Weiler 56490 <https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004FTPWKK/> is excellent. Unlike this one, it does not have "a corrosion resistant protection", but that may be moot. The carbon steel Weiler mandrel is lighter but stronger/more rigid, and has a really nicely-designed head with smoother operation than this one.Unfortunately, if you want a Weiler mandrel with 1/4" arbor, the only one that turns up in Amazon's search is a 56491 combo pack with the 3/8" arbor <https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004FTPWL4/>.[Note: Amazon , also lists another Weiler 1/4"-3/8" combo pack, 36512 <https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004IZL46M/>, but many comments there say it is 3/8" only. I called Weiler and spoke with a lady who confirmed that -- but she said that they also do sell a 1/4" arbor mandrel, 56489, so the part numbers are:56489 - 1/4"56490 - 3/8"56491 - 1/4" & 3/8" combo packAnd - even though it does not turn up in the search for 1/4" arbor mandel - if you know the part number, "Weiler 56489" does turn up if you plug it directly into the search box. That search gets 3 hits, of which the most interesting is a 10-pack for $14.44 (that is, $1.44/each) from ToolUp <https://www.amazon.com/Weiler-56489-Mounting-Mandrel-Unitized/dp/B08BWF8XRH/>.

The arbor diameter is not .375". Inatead it is .340" making is useless for any disc. Needless to say, be aware.

It works with my 1/4" air die grinder with no issues and the holding screw has never come loose during use. I highly rwxommend.

What I received was a calhawk brand piece that spins off at high speeds. Junk

use it in my die grinder. don't forget your eye protection!
