Carry condensate water away cleanly.
I installed a minisplit and needed to find a permanent condensate line drain solution. I ran the flexible condensate line to a sink drain and tied in where a dishwasher would (above the trap). The result is carefree water management with no drip, drip, drip on the outside patio.

not so useful single sink drain w/ garbage disposal config.
I used this item on a kitchen single basin sink drain with garbage disposal. Customer did not want another hole drilled for air-gap vent/dishwasher on the granite countertop. So I used this item connected to 1.5 pvc waste arm pipe at wall glued/threaded coupling adapter. Downsides to this are 1. the barbed connection for dishwasher discharge hose is technically facing the wrong way upstream vs. downstream. 2. elimination of the air gap/vent could be problematic for some in heavy use cases where the dishwasher discharge simultaneously with sink drainage . Next time ill put in a 1.5 pvc street tee at the wall + admittance valve/vent. Have Fun!
