PFEIL "Swiss Made" Palm Set B, 6 Pieces

I treated myself to Pfeil and I am so pleased I did. What a different there is to working with quality tools. My wrists aren’t sore after working with these for a few hours unlike less quality carving tools. I make fewer mistakes. They are very sharp and I’ve had to discipline myself to correctly hold the piece being worked to avoid cutting my fingers.

I'm new at lino block printing, and have tried a variety of less expensive carvers whilst I figure out what works best for me. These beautiful tools are a game changer! I felt such ease in carving with these and saw immediate improvement in my work. Having quality tools like these inspires me to continue with this medium.

I like the extra control when making small precise cuts. These really hold an edge. The Swiss really know how to make a grade-A woodworking tool.

The tools are good, I carve on rubber, and they are firm and steady, the down size is that after such a short period, bought and received in May 2025,several of the carving tools are rusty, this brand was highly recomended but it did not meet it’s quality standards. The tools are kept inside a drawer in the closet when out of use.

This is the first purchase of nice tools for carving lino. I used Speedball and another Japanese brand prior to these that were not sharp and not comfortable for my hands. These are very sharp and the handle fits nicely in my palm. Easy to get to hands on the tool so no fingers in the way of the blade. Price was a bit steep compared to other tools, but maybe that's what you have to pay for such quality.

Love these....except when I jabbed it in my hand. Very sharp. Well worth the money
