I was surprised by how easy it is to use this thermometer -- opens like a jack knife -- opening it switches it on -- poke it into the roast or whatever it is -- and get an instant temperature reading. Very sturdy, works well and quickly and is very convenient -- it is magnetized and sticks on the side of the fridge -- no need to rummage through a drawer looking for it when it is needed. My old probe was not reliable and overly complicated -- this is simple to read, easy to use and well worth the price!

Amazing thermometer. Extremely fast and accurate read time! Nice sharp point to easily measure the center of meats. Very easy to clean with it being waterproof. Super solid construction, and it seems like it will last a very long time. Auto turns off after you set it down and turns back on if you pick it up! Don't even need to move the rod, so very efficient use of the battery. I've also got a Thermapen that's on it's last legs, and this seems to read faster and more consistently, and for a much better value. The gyroscope inside was way more useful than I thought it would be. Being able to grab it and measure the temperature quick and having it be easy to see at any angle is awesome. And I love that you don't have to press a button to turn it on. Just unfold the rod, and it's on right away! You will not regret your purchase!
