I used the heck out of this thing and it’s designed to make mudding and taping a lot easier! I got used to it pretty quick just mix your mud a little thin and always leave the tape sticking out a little ways because it will want to pull the tape back inside occasionally and then you have to open it up and make a mess. Other than that it’s awesome!

Really set the paper nice. If you use banjos or if you’re thinking about trying one, you should definitely pick this one up. It’s a great value for the money. Especially if you don’t do spackling professionally, but you ended up picking up a big job of 100 boards or more, you definitely want to consider this. Well-made, easy to clean.

Generally a decent taping unit. When full it’s pretty heavy. If you don’t fill it it it doesn’t tape far. The biggest gripe is cutting the tape at the end of a run. I would use the sharp corner of the tape knife to pierce the tape and pull. More times than I would like the tape would rip from the unit. Then you would have to open it up and expose the tape again. Got really annoying. Other than that it’s a solid tool for the money.

Love this! Used to install tape on barndominium that were building. I am a licensed builder who retired a few years ago and still love doing jobs for myself. Wish they had this back when i was in business, it works amazing except for cutting the tape when you get to the end of the run. But soooooo quick.

I'm a contractor (not a drywall contractor) and bought this banjo for a large master suite addition. I only used it a couple of times and happened to drop it off a 5 gallon bucket - so less than 2 feet - and the roller attachment broke off. The machine is not really functional without it. Sent and email to the company with no response. The machine works well, especially the corner wheel for corners, but its very fragile. Buy the metal ones for the same money.

What can I say. I loved this thing. It was a little messy, but less messy than not using it. I absolutely loved how easy it was to use. We remodeled our entire hose and finished our basement. This thing made light work of taping and mudding.

Hinges broke early on. I took the front attachment off and added a 2.5 inch knife with a hose clamp. Now I can tear the tape with ease. Otherwise its not a bad banjo. Sometimes the tape roll will fall off when its almost gone.
