Wasn’t getting any flys when located next to a wall. Turned it 90 degrees so it was at right angles to the wall and zap zap zap. Works great.

These things work better at night than in the daytime as the bugs are attracted to the light when it’s dark. Waste of money being on in the day as nothing goes towards it. Other wise good. Can hoover bugs from inside it. The only thing I did wrong on day 1 was cut the cable ties on it which held the grill in place. I thought it was part of the packaging!

It would kill mosquitos but it appear anything bigger like a house fly it just syuns them , the first time we got one we was on our way to bed. So decided to dispose of the corps in the morning but when we arose it had gone. Then each time afterthought fly drops on the plate and is still moving it's legs after a few minutes it flys away either this does not work or it's no good

i loved the easy set up and hanging chain which was very handy, Started catching flies right away when set up above door in my conservatory. i can now leave the door open and be flying bug free. The bulbs look easy to change but i am sure these low energy bulbs will last a long time. oh hand to be able to switch this off easily at night or in winter when there are less flying insect around. S good i bought another for my kitchen 5 stars an well deserved. I have to say what i did not like and its trivial but the cord and plug too short however overcame this with a cheap extension from asda

Excellent - been using for a month now and it definately get's them - I would hate to see how many there were if i didn't have it. The little blighter's seem to be getting wary of it but it still does the job - I read the reviews beforehand and was amazed at the amount of satisfaction people got from the 'bang' when it gets them - however, I have to say that a smug little smile comes out every time it happens ;)The only thing to be wary of is if you are using a brush to clean from the wires, even unplugged, you can still get a jolt from it. I'm using an old make-up brush as they can be quite difficult to get off but i now just have to be careful not to let the metal part at between the brush and the handle touch it and it's fine.
