Oh wow, what an absolutely beautiful book, as reflected in the price. The format and the colourful pages with their exquisite illustrations is unbelievably attractive. Then the choice of poems ,of course, with its wide selection, would certainly tempt anyone who is not familiar with poetry to delve deeper into it. I could only wish that someone might be inspired to make me a gift of this treasury of poems. I bought this book as a Christmas gift for friends of mine and I couldn't put it down. Perhaps in time I may be able to buy a `used` copy for myself. I recommend it without hesitation. Thanks to Amazon it arrived quickly with protective packaging to avoid any blemish

Bought this for my class to link in with our seasonal Science study and to increase their exposure to poetry in class. The book is beautifully illustrated and has both traditional and modern poems linked with nature as well as both longer and shorter poems. The illustrations track the seasons in flora and fauna and is a joy to hold and read. The children love taking it in turns to read aloud. A worthwhile purchase.

A gorgeously illustrated, well written book of poems perfect for 4 year old and upwards. The poems are short and entertaining and ideal for budding little poets! It’s so beautifully made too - excellent quality paper and much bigger than expected. Well worth the price tag

I bought this book as a birthday present for my friend's 6 year old. I had a book similar to this when I was about that age and it was a vital introduction for me to the world of poetry. This book is truly beautiful and contains a poem a day for the year, all of them inspiring and apt for the seasons. The illustrations are breathtakingly lovely and are as inspiring as the poems. The recipient loves it.

This is big and colourful, but terribly heavy. Personably I would like it smaller and lighter, as one could hardly cuddle up with ones Little Ones with this heavy monster. Too heavy to sit comfortably on a lap, there are plenty of lovely illustrated books of poetry for young people which don’t threaten to dislocate Granny’s wrist or tip a toddler over! Remember that Small is Beautiful!

We absolutely love this book! We get it out every few weeks (either initiated by myself or the kids, aged 4 & 5), and get lost together inside the pages for a little while. It’s been a great accompaniment to learning about nature and the seasons during lockdown, and as hoped, it has inspired a great love of poetry in my children. They will often create pictures or poems of their own after re-reading their favourite pages. It is well worth the money and would make a great gift!

A great collection of poems for all seasons. Some remembered, many new. I would recommend it.

This treasury of poems is very well done. It is larger than I expected, with thick pages and beautiful illustrations. I’ve been enjoying the poems and my 3.5 year old loves them too. I’m sure this will be a treasured family book. I plan on purchasing additional copies to give as gifts.
