Fully assembled and tested in the USA, this system is designed for those who demand the best in water quality. ## Description The WECO Aqua-Titan-0400DI is a 5-stage reverse osmosis water filtration system combining reverse osmosis filtration and deionization for low conductivity, TDS-free water. The Aqua-Titan-0400DI uses four stages of water filtration plus a final deionization polishing stage to create ultra-pure water. The combination of sediment, activated carbon and reverse osmosis (RO) filtration removes the majority of contaminants. The final deionization (DI) stage removes all traces of metals, nitrate, and other contaminants that may slip through the RO filter. The Aqua-Titan-0400DI system produces up to 400 gallons of purified water per day when supplied with 80-psi incoming water pressure. The RO/DI water is ideal for residential and commercial drinking water purification or for use in commercial processes requiring a reliable supply of ultra-pure water. The processed water is potable and can be used for food preparation, coffee shops, hydroponics, commercial aquaculture and laboratories. The Aqua-Titan is mounted to a sturdy, corrosion resistant powder-coated frame. The components in this water purification system are commercial-grade suitable for installation in commercial kitchens, medical facilities, daycare centers and schools. All filter cartridge housings are NSF Standard 42-certified. The Aqua-Titan-0400DI uses five stages of filtration. Stage 1 of the purification process starts by removing particles of sand, iron oxide particles, mineral scale and natural biological material like insect and algae fragments. The WECO sediment cartridge captures debris that can clog the filtration system and damage appliances like dish washers and washing machines. In Stage 2 and 3, water flows through two WECO 5-micron solid block activated carbon cartridges. The 5-micron, compressed carbon block filters remove chlorine and chloramine, natural earthy odors (geosmin), rotten egg odors (hydrogen sulfide) and industrial chemicals. Inlet, outlet and drain are all 3/8" push fit ports. Comes with a water supply adapter that will fit both 1/2" and 3/8" cold water supply lines. Extra tubing included. Membrane and the slim filter cartridges came unassembled, out on the side of the box. Got this on a Saturday and I had to wait until start of next week to do the installation since the instructions were so complicated.When I called WECO on Monday, the very courteous and professional lady on the other end helped me with the installation. I just had to get the black membrane cap removed, apply the included silicone packet on the cap o-rings, insert the membrane with the membrane skirt pointed towards the end. Blue sump filter installation is a no brainer. First goes the sediment, then the gac and finally the carbon block cartridge. She also gave me pointers on how to couple the system with my 1000 gallon water storage tank. Since I did not have an accumulator tank that was recommended, I used a regular under sink pressure tank in series with the mechanical float on the big tank. Sure enough, as the 1000 gallon atmospheric tank fills up, float stops the filtered water flow and in a little bit I can hear the drain stop running as well. They have a conversion kit made just for atmospheric tanks, which I did not purchases. My small pressure tank had to do. Guess what? It was not complicated after all.Water from the 1000 gallon tank feeds my house and the plants. 312 ppm TDS drops down to 15 ppm. pH 6.8Not going to ding a star since I got all the help I needed.
