Apparently this is a great jerky. I receive a jar every three weeks and the last jar is usually empty. The guys love this jerky! If you like hard dry jerky with great flavor this item is for you.

Its better than gas station jerky.

Wish it wasn’t so hit or miss I’ve got this & the 4 bags like 6-7 times now. First few times it was so good but last 2 it’s just so average not to crazy flavor.

I am a bit of a jerky snob. I've had Jack Links, I've had People's Choice, I've had No Man's Land, I've had Wild River, I've had Wicked Cuts; all of those fall short or completely miss the mark (although No Man's was close) for the type of jerky I am partial to. But having now eaten half of the bag of this Hardtimes jerky in the first day that I got it, I am comfortable admitting I have formed a consensus: This jerky is the real deal. Dare I say, it's jerky of the year, mon, to borrow and modify a line from Seinfeld. It's dry but chewy, salty and a tad bit spicy, but not an annoying level of spice; nothing gets in the way of enjoying this effin' jerky. It's definitely a bit spendy, so you should do your best to savor the experience. Some of the older reviews mentioned mold and suspected the lid for container was to blame, being loose and all with no vacuum seal over the opening of the container. Mine came in a resealable plastic bag as depicted in the product image, so I can't attest to those folk's prior experience. I didn't have any quality issues. Jerky.

This is the real deal. It's good beef jerkey you can't find anywhere anymore. Beef jerkey is not supposed to be soft, thick and oily (like yucky beef sticks). The stuff they sell in stores now is so artifical. Hardtimes is REAL beef jerky, how it's supposed to be.

I purchased the 8 oz real beef jerky smoke flavor. The texture was great and it was a wonder chew; but I can only eat maybe only 2 pieces at a time. The reason bc it was really spicy. I’m not sure why bc there is nothing in the ingredients of the original had nothing spicy in it. Even though I loved everything else about the jerky, except for the taste; sorry.

I am usually a Robertsons fan but I am not paying 70 bucks for a pound of Jerky and having to drive to a sketchy gas station to get it. So, after a thorough search we tried the big 4 that were mentioned everywhere. Ok, so two tied for the top honor. The other jerky just barely edged this one out, but the other one, even though it was original flavor had a touch of teriyaki and still reasonable on carbs. So they kind of cheated. But for just top not ole regular beef jerky with no cheating we really liked this one also. We will probably be ordering both.
