This product was exactly what I needed to replace the cheap, plastic part that came with our dog door, which was cracked. I am sure it will hold up a lot longer!

I dont write a lot of reviews but I had to say how good this replacement bracket is compared to the other I have tried. First it's not plastic so already feels sturdier, 2nd it has a front washer to help keep it from slipping, lastly the screws are long enough to stay in. I would buy this one and ignore the cheaper other ones.

Would be nice if 2 came in the pack, bought 2 times now. Great product. I have an 83 lb dog they are very strong and long lasting through all the ins and outs lol

Works good, fixed the issue. I thought it was a bit pricey for what it is though. Its just a little strip of metal. That is why I only gave 4 stars.

I bought this bracket to replace the plastic one that came with the doggie door. The plastic one was cracked. When I removed the old flap to replace the new flap, the plastic one fell apart. This bracket came with everything, including screw driver and screws that were needed to secure the new flap. The old screws kept slipping through the holes of the new flap and not allowing the flap to stay in place. This bracket is well made and well worth the purchase.

Perfect for my petsafe large dog door. The metal strip is very thick and much better than the original plastic piece which broke over time.

Perfect! Does what it does. After waiting for over a year for the OEM, I found this. Solid aluminum nor plastic. No worries about it breaking or stripping plastic threads. EZ install with a helper. A bit pricey but I'll never have to buy another.

This doesn't work for the PetSafe extreme weather dog door. It could mount either the inner or outer flap for the XL door but it's not going to accommodate the extreme weather flap which needs two spots for screws to mount it all together. I did not feel like jimmy rigging it as my dogs are extremely rough on the door and we get serious winds. I do wish I could use aluminum brackets because they seem much sturdier, but I instead opted to reach out to PetSafe and get the plastic mounting brackets from them (XL door parts seem harder to locate so I did the help chat box and they set it all up).

Fit door perfectly but made it impossible to reinstall the insulated middle layer. If you only want the heavy plastic layers, it will work fine.
