Smooth writing instrument
I love these pens. I write anywhere from 1-5 pages long hand every day and these pens are smooth and never spool out gobs of ink. I buy them in both red and blue and they last quite awhile. I wish they came in a pretty turquoise and green and purple.

Pen Protector...
I'm one of those who is very particular about their writing utensils, and this pen fulfills every preference. I love the color, the ink life and quality, the grip, the width of the marks, etc. Amazon is the only place I can still find these, so the fact that they have a case of 12 made me very happy.

I like them, but they do tend to skip with a fair amount of ink left
I like these pens for the ink. It's color-fast and lays down bright; however, these pens begin to skip, particularly when they get down to a third left of the ink and it's horribly annoying to keep opening the pen and blowing into the ink reservoir to get them working again. (Yes, that does work, with ball points too.) I regularly use black, blue, red, and the black-color inks and it's a problem across all of them. I'm to the point where I think I'm going to call up the company on their guarantee of "smooth, worry-free writing with every uni-ball pen" they put on the sides of their boxes. On the grip side, they could be more comfortable. The nubs on the silicone grip section irritate my fingers. They could get rid of them to increase comfort and they'd still grip very well. These pens may be more on the 3.5 star side for me because of the skipping and comfort issues, but they're not 3 star. I'm hoping the skip issues I've consistently faced are just from older pen stocks I've been sent by Amazon and will self-resolve with new stock.
