These foam paint brushes were a really good buy. I checked similar packs locally and this set was much cheaper on Amazon for the amount and variety you get. Having multiple sizes included made it perfect for different projects around the house. The brushes arrived well packaged and all of them were in great condition with no bent handles or damaged foam. They held up surprisingly well while staining and painting, and they didn’t fall apart like some of the cheaper foam brushes I’ve used before. The foam applied stain and varnish smoothly without leaving a bunch of streaks or brush marks. Overall, this was an excellent value for the price. Great variety of sizes, good quality, and much more affordable than buying individual brushes in stores.

Excellent value Good basic brushes Easy to use

I gave this product five stars because, eventually, they did what I needed done. I wanted to apply a thin coat of clear polyurethane thinned with mineral spirits on small wood parts, to stabilize the grain of the wood. I was worried that mineral based solvents would soften the foam into a gooey mess. That did not happen. I bought them because foam brushes are softer than a nylon or bristle brush. I felt a quality bristle brush would apply too much material on the small, delicate wood parts I was working with. So I tried using a foam brush to eliminate this problem, which eventually worked out quite well. But there was another problem. The thinned solvent-based material I was working with was quite compatible with the foam, but not with the glue that held the foam on the plastic stiffener inside the brush. Within a minute or two, as soon as the finish worked its way into the foam, the glue attaching the foam to the plastic backing attached to the wood handle softened. The foam came loose from the handle. Not good. So - I took sewing thread to bind the foam to the inner plastic liner that stiffened the brush. This worked out well, but it took some time. The foam resisted mineral spirits well and did not soften when left in the mineral spirits for an hour or so. I found it was very easy to clean the foam brush for the next use, easier and quicker than sewing the foam on the next brush for the next application, and much easier than cleaning a bristle brush. I would not use a foam brush for normal paints. They would be too soft, in my opinion, for thicker house paint or, say, for interior trim work. For that, a quality bristle brush should be best. But for my job, a foam brush was the right way to go.

I love these for all sorts of uses including: applying leather due to car seats, spot touch up painting on interior walls, cleaning in tight spots; cleaning otherwise impossible spaces in appliances especially carpet cleaner and vacuum cleaners with nooks & crannies in the plastic housing; indispensable for cleaning right spots in auto interiors. So many uses.

Perfect! Ordered to make posters for last day of school and they went just right with the thick poster paint! Also, rinsed and dried easily!

Nice they are disposable but the tend to break pretty fast.
