I've tried David's cinnamon bun bars (FANTASTIC, by the way), so when I was reading the reviews on the other bars I noted what was being said about the Fudge Brownie flavor. I have to agree with what they said about how most other brownie flavored protein bars are a bit dry, not very chocolatey flavored and crumbly....nothing like a brownie....which is why after my first try with other brands, I just quit. If I'm going to treat myself, I want it to be a TREAT, not a "settlement"! I also noted in those reviews what they said about David's Fudge Brownie bars -- that they were actually moist and really did remind them of a brownie -- so, I decided to try them. Just got my box today and had to have one. All I can say is holy guacamole, Batman!!! These things are good!!! Really good!! They actually remind me of the brownies from a local bakery -- not as mushy as my homemade ones, but I've NEVER known anyone to get close to mine. They really are moist, not dry, and they do make you feel like you're biting into a brownie with nuts! The flavor is really good...and I don't mean "diet food" good....I mean you could give one to a kid and they'd be MORE than happy with it. Might even ask for a glass of milk to dunk it in! The flavor is very chocolaty, but not overly sweet (it won't make you're teeth hurt); and, with only 150 calories while giving you a whopping 28 grams of protein you really just can't beat it! Heaven knows how they did it, or how much research and development they had to go through to come up with it, but whatever it was....it was well worth it to those of us on the purchasing end. Wish they had had these back when I was growing up. You might think of it as a bit pricey for a snack for kids, but for the amount of protein and positive benefits it really is a good option. One of these bars and a cup of tea or coffee (a warm beverage) and you'll stay full for quite a while. Can't wait to tell my friends as, being a person of "a certain age", we tend to be short on our protein consumption regularly. So many seniors drink Ensure (suggested by their physicians -- one bottle has 220 calories, 15 grams of SUGAR, and only 9 grams of protein). These bars have that beat in every category, with TRIPLE the amount of protein! Like I said, can't wait to spread the news.

Pretty pricey, but taste great and really do the trick to keep you full all day!

I kept seeing ads for David High Protein Bars and wanted to try them but wasn't willing to buy a whole box just to do that. While shopping at our local Fred Meyer grocery store, I noticed them available as single bars, so I bought the Fudge Brownie and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough bars. What a delicious surprise! Not only were they incredibly yummy, the texture was great as well. Add to that getting 28 grams of protein for 150 calories, and it was a winner in my book. Working on releasing another 25 lbs of unwanted weight, this solved a couple of problems for me - now, I can enjoy a delicious high-protein snack (that is actually supporting my goals) and satisfy my mid-afternoon sweet craving totally guilt-free. Amazon's pricing has made this much more affordable using Subscribe and Save, so I ordered a box of each flavor delivered monthly.

I’ve really been enjoying the David protein bars lately. They’re a great option if you’re looking for something high in protein with low carbs and low fat, which fits perfectly with my nutrition preferences and busy lifestyle. The texture and taste are surprisingly good for such a macro-friendly bar, and they’re convenient for on-the-go meals or post-workout fuel. The only thing I’d personally love to see improved is the ingredient list—specifically removing sucralose. That’s the one red flag for me from a health standpoint. If they could switch to a cleaner sweetener option, these would easily be a top-tier protein bar in my book.

A convenient way to get a high dose of protein. Tastes good for what it is. I wish there was a variety pack.
