The output level of a microphone is comparable to that of a record deck cartridge. The input jack of the amplifier is a stereo minijack so could take two mics. Please remember to connect both output channels to avoid possible damage to the amplifier, even if you are only connecting one mic. **Q: Would this be ok to make a little amp for a cigarbox guitar and run off a 9volt battery.** A: Yes but the volume will be dependent on.the output from.the guitar. If it is an acoustic with an active output it will have plenty of headroom.
