I'm really pleased with my 'little' kindle. I have a Paperwhite and a Scribe as well. This is small and light making it easy to carry. It looks nice, just like any decent ebook reader device does. It connects easily to my wifi, though data speed isn't anything to write home about. It holds a lot of books. And I mean a lot. It could easily hold all my kindle books and all my 'send to kindle' books I have - thats well over 3000 books in all. It's highly readable, in daylight, the eink screen is superb. In the dark, the backlight helps nicely. I gave up trying to read PDF's on these devices (its a dreadful format to be honest!). So I only use it read ebooks and for this function it is outstandingly good. If amazon read this review I want just one small feature on my next kindle device - make it smaller! I want something I can easily put into a pocket, something between 4.5 and 5 inches screen size is perfect for carrying around with me all the time without need a huge pocket or a bag. I'm sure other people would add Bluetooth for audiobooks and such but not for me. I just want a simple smaller kindle.

I absolutely love my Amazon Kindle! I read so many more books now simply because I have them all in one place. It’s so convenient and has completely changed my reading habits. I take it everywhere with me — while waiting for my son to finish his clubs, at appointments, on the plane, or relaxing by the pool on holiday. Unlike a phone or tablet, I can read comfortably even in bright sunshine, which is a huge bonus. It’s small, lightweight, and compact, fitting perfectly in my handbag, so it’s always with me. I honestly don’t leave the house without it anymore. If you love reading, a Kindle is one of the best purchases you can make!

Excellent e-reader. Amazon has definitely perfected this device well over the years, the e-ink display refreshes very quickly and the 300ppi display is very crisp and clear. The backlight makes it very easy to read even in direct sunlight while the night mode makes it comfortable to read in bed. This 11th gen Kindle also has USB-C which is a very welcome upgrade from my previous Kindle that still used micro USB. The colour option is also very nice. I usually go for more “conventional” colours for my tech but I decided to go for the colourful option this time and I’m glad I did. My only issue was with setup, where I had two issues. Neither of these were with the device itself, but with Amazon’s software. 1. If your account has OTP for two factor authentication, signing in on the Kindle itself is unreliable and, at least for me, it didn’t work at all. The only way I could sign in was with the mobile app. Even though I reset my password and tested it on other devices, the Kindle still wouldn’t accept it. You’re supposed to be able to put in your password + the OTP code to get around lack of 2FA support on the Kindle, but I tried this at least ten times with multiple reboots to no success. 2. When I tried setting up through the mobile app, the app didn’t discover my WiFi networks because they use WPA3. The Kindle itself is perfectly able to discover and connect to these networks but the Kindle mobile app isn’t. Which means I had to use a mobile hotspot for setup and manually change the WiFi network on the Kindle after. This was still an issue even if I already connected the WiFi on the Kindle manually before starting the mobile app. Why? The mobile setup process uses Bluetooth, it should be able to just check if the Kindle already has WiFi connected, but it didn’t. Between these two issues, setup took me an hour due to all the troubleshooting. Both could easily be fixed by a large company like Amazon simply by updating the Kindle software to properly support OTP and updating the mobile app to support WPA3. These are very easy things to do for a trillion dollar company. I did take off a star for this as it was a much more stressful setup process than it needed to be. Thankfully, once I finally got it set up, the device itself is excellent.

I had to buy another Kindle as mine was one that was no longer being "serviced!". As it says above this is the most compact although smaller than my previous one but it is not a problem. The quality is clearly better. Am finding my way around it which wasn't quite as the previous model. Haven't yet discovered how to see how many chapters are left as the old one did. Otherwise I am very happy with it. Also it was extremely easy to set up by simply following the on screen instructions. My only gripe is that you have to purchase a cover separately if you want one. The good news is the library from my old Kindle came already installed.

With tears in my eyes I said good bye to my beloved Kindle Oasis as it finely gave up the ghost { thank you for your many years of fantastic service on my many adventures } so a replacement was needed, It was a shock how much this modern one has improved, crisper, clearer, and light weight, very easy to set up and I was soon back into my reading coma. Took a bit getting used to tapping/swiping for page turns but soon forgot the button turners on my old one and now have no problems, found using a 'stud pop handle' on the back easier for my large hands to hold it and to swipe with my thumb. Its smart ,modern and thin and it was less than half the price I paid for the Oasis all those years ago, the light seems better spread across the page as well, just hope it lasts as long as the other one did.

Bought this for my wife and it is so much better than my old version. It has loads of smart reading features to tailor your viewing experience. Small, lightweight, portable and the batteries last an age.

My kindle paperwhite signature edition is just slightly too big for the amount of travel I do. I also just like it kept on my bedside table as it doesn’t have a case or screen protector and that’s where I usually read. I have been reading on my phone app a lot when I’m out and I finally doubled down and bought the basic kindle to keep in my bag everyday and for travel. Yes I could take the signature edition everywhere, but I would absolutely hate to leave it at work or lose it. The basic is 6in compared to the 7 and in this case you really feel that difference. It truly is a great device for someone entering the world of kindle who doesn’t want to pay too much for one but also likes the idea of reading more. It’s portable and I’m really glad I have this now. No it’s not over consumption if both things are being used. I have found great value in having two kindles given I read over 300 books a year and around 60% of them are from kindle unlimited. I would argue my kindles are one of the things I get the most value from in my life, having had a total of now 5 in 17 years (currently have 2 and one was a gifted upgrade). I think few people will regret buying a kindle and if you are a massive book lover or even a casual reader it will add great value to your life. I still read physical books as well but chunky fantasy novels are so much easier to read on the kindle at night or even when out, than carrying around a massive tome. Overall it has great speed, you can add a popsocket or flip case so it’s adjustable to meet everyone’s needs and the font sizing makes reading easier for everyone. 10/10 would recommend to anyone. I’ve also added a clear glitter case from a 3rd party seller and a MagSafe popsocket to mine but my paperwhite I use strapiscles.

This kindle is just lovely. Beautiful size and very light, so it makes for a comfortable read. Highly recommend.

Innych różnic do tej pory nie zauważyłem. Obudowy obu wersji są takie same, etui od starszego czytnika (Kindle 11, 2022), pasuje do nowszego. Taki sam układ jedynego fizycznego przycisku - włącz/wyłącz - na dolnej krawędzi czytnika, jak równiez wejścia zasilana USB-C. Podobnie z jedyna diodą przy wejściu zasilającym. • Korzystnie w niższych temperaturach jesiennych, w rękawiczkach, jest możliwe. Czytałem na przystanku autobusowym przy listopadowej temperaturze ok. + 6°C, przenosząc go wcześniej na dworze przez ok. godzinę w zewnętrznej kieszeni kurtki. Po wybudzeniu (ok. sekundy), trochę jakby wolniej przewracały się storny niż czytając w domu ale wszystko również na zewnątrz podczas chłodu odbywa się z - dla mnie - akceptowalną zwłoką. Nie odrywa to od lektury, nie rozbija refleksji, nie wpływa na komfort czytania. Kindle reaguje na palce w nawet grubszych rękawiczkach z wszytymi tekstylnymi naparstkami do obsługi ekranów urządzeń mobilnych. Moje są nawet trochę za duże ale po delikatnym dociśnięciu palca ekran reaguje szybko. Myślę, że wszystkie rękawiczki zimowe z podobnymi naparstkami na kciuku i palcu wskazującym będą uruchamiały ekran tego Kindle'a, gdyż swoje kupiłem w dyskoncie za 30 zł, nie są to jakieś specjalne rekawiczki. Grubsze wełniane, z jakąś podszewką ocieplającą wewnątrz, żadna z ich warstw nie jest trwałe sygnowana żadną marką. Raczej dolna półka. To są detale ale - w mojej ocenie - istotne ponieważ, jak sądzę, do znaczącego przyspieszenia czytania książek doszło u mnie przez to, że wykorzystuje większość krótkich przerw poza domem, gdy muszę poczekać właśnie na przykład na autobus tomaszowskiej komunikacji miejskiej, potem jadąc nim jakiś odcinek. Również jesienią i zimą. Gdyby korzystnie z czytnika było bardziej skomplikowane czy wymagało częstego zdejmowania rękawiczek, pewnie w wielu sytuacjach bym zrezygnował z zabierania go i czytał korzystając z aplikacji Kindle na telefonie. Jednak tutaj jest to bardzo komfortowe, sprowadza się właściwie do kilku codziennie tych samych ruchów. Jest to nawyk, który wyrobił się u mnie, myślę że po tygodniu codziennego korzystania z Kindle'a. • Bateria Kindle'a trzyma - przy moim używaniu - około tygodnia. Oszczędzam w ten sposób baterię telefonu, by mieć pewność że wytrzyma do czasu dotarcia do gniazdka z prądem. I tak się też dzieje. W wyjątkowych sytuacjach wspomagam się oczywiście czasami powerbankiem ale docelowo lubię zachować standard: telefon ładuje się tylko w domu. Kondycja baterii potem jest wysoka przez wiele lat, a korzystając z talerzyka ładowaki indukcyjnej nie eksploatuje złacza zasilania • No i oczywiście wzrok. trudno mi to precyzyjnie ocenić samemu, ale przy tych czterech książkach tygoniowo które czytam na Kindle'u, odnoszę wrażenie że na telefonie czy tablecie robiłem dużo częścien i dużo więcej przerw, a i tak częstym uczuciem było pieczenia oczu, no i te zaciemnione oczodoły :( Każdy kto dłużej korzysta z komputera wie o czym mowię. Korzystając z Kindla, nawet zarywajac całą noc na czytanie ( dajmy na to od 23 do 5 rano, bo mieszkając w mieście na te godziny przypada względna cisza), po takim seansie jeszcze nigdy nie piekły mnie oczy. Tak więc, myślę, że 100 papierowych stron książki w najpopularniejszym formacie,można na Kindle'u przeczytać bez odrywania wzroku. Technologia elektronicznego atramentu to dla moich oczu zupełnie co innego niż czcionka wyświetlana na ekranie telefonu. Jestem pochłonięty treścią w 100% przerywając jedynie na drobne notatki, które łóżku, czy poza domem robię wewnątrz Kindle'a, po zaznaczeniu palcem całego cytatu czy pojedynczego kluczowego wyrazu. • Notatkę tworzy się tak jak pisze się SMSa w smartfonie. Jest to trochę wolniejsze od pisma odręcznego, jednak nie zaburza skupienia, gdy musiałbym na przykład wstać z łóżka z nagrzanego, ciałem, wyleżanego miejsca, włączyć lampkę tylko po to by odnotować dwa zdania, czy słowa klucze, dopisywać do tego numer strony czy lokalizacji na papierze. Nie. Notatki tutaj zachowują się w chmurze Amazon przez co są dostępne na każdym innym urządzeniu z aplikacją Kindle. Musimy jednak znajdować się w zasięgu sieci Wi-Fi, ktorą akredytowaliśmy po włączeniu pierwszego urządzenia Amazon z aplikacją Kindle. • Nie można się połączyć z dowolną siecią bez tej akredytacji. Można akredytować kilka czy nawet kilkanaście sieci Wi-Fi. Sam mam kilka. Poza domem by nie odkładać sprawdzania w Wikipedii na później zawsze noszę smartfon z włączona funkcja udostępniania internetu (tethering). Po nabyciu kolejnych urządzeń Amazon, nie trzeba akredytować sieci Wi-Fi za każdym razem, wystarczy że zaakceptujemy jednym tapnięciem w ekran by urządzenie - kolejny czytnik Kindle, czy tablet Fire, zaadaptował ustawienia z pierwszego urządzenia Amazon. To bardzo wygodne rozwiazanie. Konfiguracja routerów w domu to było okropieństwo. • Znam angielski, ale zwykle staram się przyglądać popularnym urządzeniom, i polityce dużych, globalnych firm z perspektywy potencjalnych wykluczeń no i tutaj uważam, że nawet nie znając języka po poznaniu kilkunastu słów po angielsku z obsługą Kindle'a poradzi sobie nawet 80-latka/ek bez znajomości angielskiego. Wikipedia działa na Kindle'u również po polsku. W zależności która wybierzemy na starcie, konfigurując swoje pierwsze urządzenie Amazon w tych kilku krokach na początku. To wszystko można potem pozmieniać, ja nie czuję takie potrzeby. Urządzenia przybliżyły mi świat, a nie wymagają bym skupiał się na nich samych ••• Reasumując, polecam Kindle 11 2024 dla osób których nuży dłubanie w technikaliach, a chciałby skupić się jedynie na lekturze, czy którym zależy na zwiększeniu liczby przeczytanych tytułów, nadrobić zaległości z przeszłości, poszerzyć horyzonty choćby stawiając swoje pierwsze kroki w nowym języku. Do wyboru jest tyle tekstów na różnym poziomie. Do czasów Kindle'a nigdy nie czytałem tak dużo. Oprócz tekstów po polsku na wyciągnięcie kciuka dostępna jest tu literatura z całego świata. Kindle to bez wątpienia przełom w moim życiu. Czytnik jest łatwy w obsłudze, a z powodu niewielkich rozmiarów wygodny do używania poza domem. Oprócz samego czytnika Amazon oferuje cały ekosystem który właściwie za Państwa dodaje książki do czytnika z jakiegokolwiek e-maila prywatnego z którego prześlecie je na swój spersonalizowny adres Kindle (jednorazowa prosta konfiguracja, wystarczy wymyślić sobie jakies słowo które będzie naszym loginem). • W przesłanym zestawie był czytnik, instrukcje i przewód z końcówką USB-C.

I have been using since December 2025. Pro: I absolutely love it, my eyes don’t feel tired as much as I read it on my phone. There’s no ads, because ads are only for the US device. There’s different type of fonts for you to choose. Even for people with dyslexic. Small, you can take it everywhere. You can import ebooks into your kindle to read. Very easy to do so. Cons: When I swipe on the screen to turn to the next page, sometimes(most of time) it glitches and turn to the next four pages. It does the same when I tap too but not as much as when I swipe it. Ebooks are so expensive for some people. It’s better if you have kindle unlimited. Or just buy physical books. Overall: Honestly I don’t regret buying it. If you read a lot then you should buy it. But if you don’t read a lot then it’s might not worth it. Also even if you have kindle, you’ll still buy physical books for your shelves like a trophy. And I don’t find the start button annoying at all. If you have a case on it won’t be an issue at all. Pop socket is really good for when you’re reading on bed because it’s make you holding your kindle easier.

I've had the 2015 7th gen Kindle Paperwhite for 11 years now and it's still just as good as the day I purchased it! I was already incredibly impressed with this paperwhite model and questioned how much they could truly improve upon such a great design. Was it worth buying the 2024 base Kindle model? Well for me: absolutely! Originally I was drawn in superficially by the wonderful matcha green color of the base Kindle but I then started diving deep into the specs vs the 2024 paperwhite model. A lot of people comment that the 2024 paperwhite is inferior now to the 2024 base kindle in a number of ways. A lot of YouTube videos said the same. This is obviously part personal preference but some of the major gripes with the paperwhite were the non-recessed/flat with the frame screen which ended in many accidental touches of the screen/page flipping and the larger screen actually being a burden in terms of portability, hand feel and weight. Anyways, what are the differences between the 2015 paperwhite and the 2024 base kindle that I've noticed so far? I immediately noticed how lightweight it was. This shocked me actually quite a bit. I wasn't expecting a device with the same size screen to feel half the weight of my old device! This will be a pleasure to hold up day to day! You can see from the side-by-side photo on this review that they really tightened up the frame on the new model. It's not nearly as high at the top and they've shrunken the side frame in as well. I was a bit worried at first that the lack of thumb space on the side would result in accidental touches to the screen but the recessed screen prevents this entirely! Obviously a very well though-out design at this point. The device speed is noticeably faster which wasn't as much of a surprise to me but still a pleasure to experience. Page turns are nearly instant. The menu comes up faster. No real delay on the keyboard when searching. The dictionary for any word that you hold-to-touch comes up very quickly. The battery life was a selling point for me. I heard that battery life has been greatly improved since 2015. I can't comment on that aspect yet as this device is still new to me but I expect I will appreciate not having to charge it very often now. In short: This device is much lighter, more portable, feels better, is faster, has better battery life and includes other features I did not touch on here such as Dark Mode. It was SO easy to activate the new device. As soon as I logged in with my Amazon account: all of my e-books were instantly available on my device. I selected the book I was currently reading on the old device and it took me right back in at the exact page I was on previously. Zero hassle! For the price: You cannot go wrong here. I can't imagine anybody being disappointed with this device unless you read a lot of comic books/manga/magazines etc. in which case you'll likely want the Color version of this device despite it's much higher price tag.
