Overpriced - Underwhelming performance and Reliability
Extremely poor performance, frequent device disconnects, and utterly horrible reliability. I have a single level home with basement ~1500 sqft upstairs, 1000 sqft downstairs. Standard garbage American house made of sticks. I have this AP set up as a parent to 2-3 mesh APs, but I now have 3-5x worse stability and reliability. Even though all APs have excellent signal, and all devices show a solid connection, I get nothing but frequent device disconnects. This was not a problem before adding mesh APs to this system. Yes, I’ve confided the hell out of it. I’ve reset it. I’ve tried defaults. I’ve tried optimizations. I went “all Unify” for a “seamless” experience… including several wireless cameras. The security cameras are nearly useless as they constantly disconnect and reconnect to the same AP. I have 2 cameras manually tied to this mesh AP, and those cameras are FEET away from the AP. Still awful performance and zero stability. I regret the thousands of dollars I’ve spent on these products. Avoid this hype train. I’ve changed channels, I’ve used their tools to update the channels automatically. I’ve set things to auto, I’ve tried manual settings. Support says… “Have you tried rebooting it?”. Are you kidding me? If the junky Dream Machine (their “router”) ever goes down - you will be waiting an hour or more for the network to get back up and get to a “stable” point. I’ve had better coverage, stability, range, and reliability from a single $200 consumer router. I’m likely going to decommission every unify device and sell them. If one E7 AP, a U7 Pro Max AP, 2 x AC meshes, and a U6 can’t cover a small home, what’s the point? Avoid Unify, they don’t perform as advertised.

Great WiFi 7 AP
Awesome AP, been using two for over a month and no issues. Great bandwidth. There aren't many available with this level of spec at this price.

Worth it
It might be expensive, but it has excellent coverage. My 3,300 single story square floorplan house has excellent coverage in every location. ISP provides 1gbps and I get 800+ mbps in every room of the house. (full speed in 80% of it too!) I love steady reliable internet and was ready to dump more on multiple AP's that would ultimately be cheaper, but decided to splurge on this one since its fewer ethernets to run. I was hopeful that I would get a better experience, and so far, I think that's what it does. It was simple enough to setup and now I have coverage everywhere. I may get an outdoor AP for the backyard, but coverage is acceptable on the far side of the patio ~400mbps. Be wary though, punching through bricks kills your signal. I have 800+ in the whole house, but if I step outside by the front door and the signal had to go through brick, it drops quite a bit. Like I have no perceivable coverage down by the mailbox, even though my phone stays "attached". But on most of the driveway, I have something to work with. Anyways. It may not be for everyone. But when it comes to internet... I prefer to buy once, cry once.
