In the last 10 years, we have owned five different horse trailers, all with the thick, HEAVY rubber mats installed on the floor. I hate those things. Pulling them out for a deep clean is an exercise in physical exhaustion, and generates words I try to avoid saying. I looked for a better way to manage the dreaded mats, and discovered these recently. All I can say is buy them. I now am able to manhandle and remove the mats easily- and for years it was the other way around. We bought the two pack. Honestly, if two people are doing this, the four pack would work even better with each person having two of these things to grab with. They are very sturdy. No bend or flex; they are definitely up for the task. The yellow latch grips tight but releases easily. It would have been the first thing I bought 10 years ago for a horse trailer had I just known about them. This is a completely unsolicited review- I'm not getting a penny for this. But these truly are great for those dang mats.

These are a game changer for moving stall mats. I struggled to get a grip on my mats to drag them into my garage from where the delivery agent deposited them in my driveway. These handles slip into place easily or with a slight lever adjust, then, drag away! I can most definitely say that these handles have saved my hands in the subsequent moving of the mats to wash/dry/sun a few times before installing them in my basement home gym. Great product.

This is the only way to move stall mats. Makes a huge difference over trying to grip with your hands & drag.

The first thing to know about the EZGrip brand of this style of mat puller is that it is superior to others that look about the same. We made the mistake of acquiring a slightly cheaper version from another manufacturer. The shape looked generally identical, but the function was significantly lower, to the point where we've retired those other pullers and gone back to our good old blue-and-yellow EZGrip. These have three features that make them superior to the other versions of this sort of mat puller: 1) They are robustly built, the material feels strong and has a little heft to it without being heavy. (Others can feel light and plastic-y and almost fragile) . 2) The gripping teeth are deep, angled for holding, and a little bit sharper than knockoffs. This means they work far better than the cheaper versions. 3) The pivoting arm which allows you to insert and release a mat has a very strong spring. Accordingly you can jam the puller onto the edge of a mat and it's now locked-on until you release it. Not true with other pullers, where you have to manually push down on the pivot arm, and if you don't push hard enough the puller won't hold. The constant downward pressure from the spring also means that even if they start to slip a little the spring will continue to do its best to grip. The other style just flies off the mat. So yeah, there are a whole bunch of home brew versions of things to pull mats that may be cheaper and that work more or les.s. But these pullers have the advantage of being very comfortable to use, and very effective. The only downside to these is you have to be sure to boldly mark thme with some kind of identifying mark, because you will find they get borrowed and disappear on a regular basis. Last time my family asked me to buy one, I secretly bought three. We lost a set at a barn ralmost immediately, I replaced it with my well-marked spare, and eventually brought out my secret-stash third set from the closet. I don't loan out my third set. They're mine, not a family set, I'm a real pest about it. And I stillhave mine. :-) Worth every penny; consider buying more than one.

Extremely impressed with the ease and effectiveness of these grips. We needed to move about 100 horse stall mats. They are thick, heavy, and very hard to drag. These grips were a GAME CHANGER. Easy push to latch on, pulled the mats without straining our backs and very quick.

Heard about these in a home gym group. Wasn’t going to get them but with a last minute move I knew I needed these since I’m not in my forever home. A buddy used these to move and load stall mats in and out of a uhaul trailer even hauling stall mats from inside of my old house. He said these things are great! I will be using them once I can get my home gym set up to move the stall mats myself and keep them close by for my next move. Absolutely recommend these and they are easy to use and held onto the stall mats the entire time until they were manually released from the stall mats.

These things work great for moving newer mats. I am 4'10" and 85 lbs and I can easily drag a 3/4", 100 lb mat which I do quite frequently. I also have arthritis in my upper and lower back and using these puts a lot less strain on the spine when used properly. I would not recommend using these to move old 100 lb mats. The grip pressure and tiny plastic teeth are not strong enough to hold...slips right out when you give it a slight pull. Almost fell on my butt...hence the 4-star.

I didn’t know these things existed until I made a large purchase of stall mats. This make quick and easy work of moving mats by myself. I’d previously used a Gator Lift plywood carrier because I already had one, which worked better than nothing, but was still a pain in the ass. Carrying a floppy 100lbs is difficult no matter how you do it, so using two handles to slide the mats is a no brainer. You pull a fraction of the load without contorting into awkward positions or losing grip with crimped fingers. It’s easy to get in a rhythm to cycle through lots of mats quickly. I love these things

Can't rate this item highly enough. They deserve a 10 out of 10, I have cow mats that are extremely heavy, these made the job to move them effortless, I normally have to get someone to help me but I manage to move all 4 mats by myself 😊

We had to move around 20 - 4x6 mats to set up our barn! These were a life saver! Made the job manageable. I have arthritis in my hands and I was able to move no problem. We had two people installing and we would each get on one side. So glad I purchased these.

A great bit of kit. Well made and very sturdy. The only thing is they don't fit 34mm mats
