Reliably 12V/24V step down converter
This is a DC 12V or 24V input to 5V output. I am using it with a 24V power supply that powers an FCOB LED strip. The 5V output allows power for a microcontroller and keeps the project on 1 power supply. It's larger than most microcontrollers, but not too big. It's easy to fit in a small project box with whatever other parts you would have.

Robust converter for heavier loads
I purchased this to power a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ off the power supply of my 3D printer. It works perfectly and has capacity to spare for the Pi. I had tried a converter rated at 3 amps previously and although it worked it ran much hotter than I like. I was happy enough with this one to buy another for my other printer.

Quiet ATWOOD Fan - Finally
Perfect for my needs to slow down an obnoxious 12v ATWOOD Fan. Still blows strong but itโs much quieter. I tried the 5A version of this unit first, but it was still too loud. The 3A version is perfect.

This worked fine for my application but it was larger than necessary.
I purchased this regulator to provide the 5 V reference circuit voltage for a factory installed amplifier. This item was able to perform that task perfectly. My suggestion is to keep shopping and look for something a little bit smaller if space is a concern. I feel this item was a little bit larger than it needed to be.

It works :) just make sure you fuse it with a small fuse for extra protection...
