This tester identifies so many problems and is a Swiss army knife of network troubleshooting. It’s now something I take to every job. I can positively eliminate or confirm any sort of cabling problem so easily. A quick test confirmed wiring issues I used to wait on correcting due to cost and let me be confident I wasn’t recabling something unnecessarily. It’s also easy enough to read that I’ve given it to non techs to use and they could read me the answer when I couldn’t get to the location myself. I often have to come in after the datacom team has declared a job complete only to find it doesn’t meet spec and POE devices don’t work. This tool gives me the confirmation that I need to get installation issues corrected.

Amazing! I started a small access control and data drop installation business and this has been a life saver. It is no DSX-5000 or DSX-8000, but it gives you the feel of those two testers. I love being able to show my clients professional test results. I would definitely recommend this tester.
