Outstanding Dive Light with Exceptional Performance
I recently purchased the SD1500 Dive Light, and it has completely exceeded my expectations for a very affordable scuba dive light. Here are the standout features: 1. Brightness and Modes: The 1500 lumens deliver incredible brightness, providing clear visibility even in dark or murky waters. The three lighting modes (high, medium, low) are versatile and allowed me to conserve battery life as needed. 2. Rechargeable and Efficient: Itโs convenient to recharge between dives, and the power indicator ensures I know when a charge is needed. 3. Waterproof and Durable: True to its description, this flashlight is fully submersible and performed flawlessly during multiple night dives at depths of over 20 meters. The build quality feels sturdy and reliable, with no leaks or fogging in the lens. 4. Ease of Use: The grip and intuitive controls make it easy to operate even while wearing gloves. 5. Safety and Reliability: Having a dependable light like this is crucial for night diving, and the SD1500 gave me complete peace of mind. Powerful Beam and Peace of Mind in the Murkiest Conditions!
As a long-time diver and underwater photographer, Iโve tested a lot of lights over the years โ from entry-level models to professional setups โ and the Odepro SD1500 genuinely impressed me on its first dive. I recently took it out to the Blue Lagoon in Huntsville, Texas, a freshwater quarry known for its very limited visibility (less than 5 feet on a sunny day). Despite the poor conditions, this compact powerhouse cut through the murk like a laser beam. Right away, I noticed how tightly focused and bright the beam is. The 6ยฐ spot pierces even heavy silt and cloudy water, which made it perfect for both illuminating nearby objects and signaling dive buddies. In this kind of environment, a wide-angle light would just reflect back particles and create a white haze โ but the SD1500 stayed clear and crisp, letting me actually see the diver in front of me instead of a cloud of backscatter. The 1500-lumen output feels genuine. I could easily pick out color and texture on rocks, gear, and fish that would otherwise have been invisible in the gloom. When my buddy swam a few feet away, all I had to do was sweep the beam across and they instantly knew where I was. Without this light, weโd have lost visual contact completely. I also appreciate the solid construction and thoughtful design. The anodized aluminum body feels rugged and perfectly balanced in the hand โ easy to hold, even with thick gloves. The single side-button control is simple to operate underwater, cycling smoothly between High, Low, and Strobe. The battery indicator ring around the button is a small but very handy feature โ it glows green, red, or flashing red depending on your battery level, so youโre never guessing how much juice you have left before the next dive. Runtime was excellent. I kept it on and off throughout a long afternoon of diving and signaling, and it never showed any dimming or overheating. Odeproโs claim of over two hours at full brightness seems accurate. The Type-C rechargeable 3400 mAh battery charges quickly and holds power well, and the included spare O-rings are a nice touch for maintenance peace of mind. The lightโs compact size also makes it versatile โ small enough to clip to a BCD or tuck into a pocket, yet powerful enough to serve as a primary dive light in low-vis conditions. For travel or quarry dives where you need reliability without bulk, this is ideal. If youโre diving in Texas quarries, lakes, or anywhere with poor visibility, this light is a game changer. Itโs also perfect for night dives, cave exploration, or as a strong backup to a video light setup. The narrow, intense beam makes it an excellent signaling tool underwater, and the strobe mode would be great for emergency use or group communication. After this dive, I can confidently say the Odepro SD1500 has earned a permanent spot in my dive kit. Itโs bright, dependable, easy to use, and built like a tank. For the price, itโs an incredible value โ and genuinely performs like a professional-grade dive light.

My best new dive light
The Odepro SD1500 Dive Light is a standout choice for underwater enthusiasts. With an impressive maximum brightness of 1500 lumens, this flashlight ensures excellent visibility during night dives, cave explorations, and other underwater adventures. Its narrow 6.4-degree beam angle provides focused and intense lighting, making it ideal for spotting hidden marine life and navigating through dark waters. One of the key features of the SD1500 is its multiple lighting modes. It offers three modes: high (1500 lumens), low (450 lumens), and strobe (1500 lumens). This versatility allows divers to adjust the brightness according to their needs, whether they require maximum illumination or a more subdued light. The flashlight is powered by a single rechargeable battery, and the kit includes two 3400mAh batteries that can be charged by connecting the included USB-C directly to them for added convenience (no separate charger needed). In high mode, the SD1500 provides approximately 2.83 hours of runtime, while in low mode, it lasts an impressive 6.25 hours. This extended battery life ensures that divers can fully enjoy their underwater experiences without worrying about the light running out. Additionally, the SD1500 features a real-time battery level indicator, which helps divers stay informed about the remaining battery life. The flashlight is constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, making it durable and resistant to corrosion. It also boasts an IP68 waterproof rating, allowing it to withstand depths of up to 150 meters. Overall, the Odepro SD1500 Dive Light is a reliable and powerful tool for any underwater adventure. Its combination of brightness, durability, and user-friendly features makes it a top choice for both amateur and professional divers.

Bright and Reliable Dive Light
The Odepro SD1500 Dive Light has been a great addition to my dive gear for a reasonable price of < $40. The light is very bright and provides a strong, focused beam that makes it easy to see in darker or low-visibility areas underwater. The build quality feels solid, though I havenโt had the dive light long enough to comment on long-term durability. The back of the flashlight has one islet for a connection to your BCD, though I wish that it had two for redundancy sake. Operating the flashlight is simple with a button press and switching modes underwater is relatively easy to manage even with gloves on. Further, having a USB-C charge point directly on the battery is a huge perk, especially for this price range as a replacement flashlight battery itself costs ~$20 just for this feature. The video with the sheep crab is filmed with this light Odepro SD1500 to show the great lighting this device offers underwater at approximately 90 feet. On the comparison picture, the Odepro SD1500 is on the left, and the DGX 1000-6 is on the right. Sure the DGX 1000-6 is brighter and has a slightly tighter light beam, but are those 2 characteristics worth it for double the flashlight price? Overall, the Odepro SD1500 is a powerful, dependable dive light that offers great performance for the price, and can be used either as a primary or secondary light depending on your budget!

Bright and just the right size.
I had purchased a couple Odepro sport flashlights and was happy. Never tried a dive light from this company so I was eager to see this one. The length of just under 6 inches was the size I was looking for. Like most dive lights this one features few output selections and simple switch operation. Powered by an Odepro wrapped 3400 mAh 18560 with charge port on the battery. Also included was 3 spare O rings, lanyard and charge cable. After fully charging the battery I tested it first in my backyard. Very impressive wide spot optic.Beam distance impressive for how wide the spot is. I use lights like this in wet caves and this one has the power to supplement a headlamp for certain situations. This one has held up nicely to the rugged cave environment. The price seemed well worth it and it came on time.

Surprisingly good light
Very impressed with this light. Very inexpensive light - was trying to save some money and got this as it was definitely reasonably priced. Got the light and liked it from the start. Really nicely made out of aluminum. Came with a rechargeable battery that has a USB C charger built in. Took about 2 1/2 hour to charge the battery. It is small and light. Took it on a night dive. Was pleased with how it performed. This light is BRIGHT. Outshone some of my buddy's lights - ones that I know cost significantly more. Cut through the darkness in the murky water. The dive was a full hour long and the battery lasted without any trouble. Great light for the money. Good for a primary or a backup light.

Amazing Value - Excellent Backup Light to Carry
This light is a fantastic product. It makes a really excellent back up light. I've taken it with me on several dozen cave dives and deep, technical wreck penetration dives. The light beam is plenty sufficient, it's a nice sharp spot for great communication. The switch is slightly depressed from the rest of the light body so it seems very resilient to being accidentally triggered inside of your pocket. The product packaging is intelligent, compact, efficient. The inclusions are top notch - a lanyard which I cut to use to attach a bolt snap to the light, two batteries both with USB C charge ports directly on the batteries for super easy charging. And spare o rings of course. Unbelievable price and fantastic value.

Budget light with bright performance
Best Features - USB C Rechargeable batteries - Small size for solid performance - rugged against drops Lightweight rugged dive torch featuring amazing performance for a budget price. The USB-C rechargeable batteries alone provide amazing value by minimizing space in dive bags. My previous dive torches needed a separate bulky charger that needed an AC outlet, but now all of my electrical gear can be recharged using a single cable type and a portable battery. Overall build is made of metal and feels secure in the hands. The strap is long enough to quickly loop around a D-ring or be secured around the wrist for ease of use. The button can be easily felt underneath a glove. Although there is an LED indicator for charge, the battery easily lasts multiple dives for underwater run times longer than 2 hours. The dive torch provides a bright center useful for signaling and illuminating far away things of interest. The adjustable light settings and narrow beam width help to reduce backscatter in poorer visibility.
