Now the games play much more smoothly. They don't skip, and the unit runs very quietly, not struggling at all. I'm very glad we got this one. In addition, the fact that it is a newer version makes it less likely to stop working. It looks like almost a perfect miniature of the larger unit, except that the games go in the top, but that's kind of cool. Now we can do some old school gaming, and introduce our son to some of the greats. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ superb product. *by R***H on 27 February 2013* My son's old Ps2 died (Motherboard fried). He has loads of games, most of them more fun than his Xbox360! So what to do? I did not want a used Ps2 because it will probably be on it's last legs anyway. Found this, advertised as new, sealed, so took the chance. Superb, came factory sealed, all new and wrapped perfectly. It's a later version than his old one with many mods. It has different ports, the power pack is built in (No brick on a lead) and the lid is made of a different plastic so hopefully won't warp (You had to bend the old one so it would make the lid closed contacts. They should continue to manufacture the Ps2, lots of people out there with large game collections and good for younger kids, most Xbox games not suitable for the youngsters.
