Good filter
Well it fitted, good price, filters oil and the car hasn't blown up yet :) Not sure what you can say about an oil filter? It is good you won't have an issue with it providing it is the correct filter.

Engine hasn’t blown up so must filter oil as intended. Genuine item supplied and cheaper than auto factor. Subscribe and save was a nice touch too.

MAHLE oil filter made in PRC
Mahle original oil filters are top quality items and I ordered two OC977/1 filters for my Golf. The first was a genuine MAHLE original, made in Austria as illustrated. The second, which was delivered some weeks later was different in construction and packaging and made in PRC (China). I do not know whether it was a genuine Mahle product or a copy but it was priced the same at £8.30 so I returned it Amazon for a full refund.

OE quality
You simply can't fault Mahle filters. Just as good as the one I got from the VW dealer before. Will use again for my Mk7 Golf.
