JSAUX RGB Transparent Back Plate Compatible with ROG Ally X, ROG Ally X Case Accessories with Silicone Grip and Cooling Module, DIY Replacement Shell

Bought my Ally about 10 days ago and wanted to modify it, already upgraded the SSD and found this rear shell for a shell swap. Saw the excellent reviews, so I pulled the trigger and got it for $29.99. The install was foolproof. Just undo 6 screws on the factory rear, and it pulls off easily with your fingers. Move the two programmable buttons and the shoulder buttons to the new shell, apply one of the small squares of tape to the light sensor. Install your chosen RGB design template and place the RGB unit and then pop the rear shell onto the Ally and screw it down. I forgot about the captive screw the first time I did it, but you'll want to transfer the small plastic washer on the captive screw JSAUX thankfully include some blank RGB covers, so I borrowed my wife's Cricut and using black vinyl I was able to create an ROG logo for the RGB panel and it looks like a factory option. I am very happy with the shell and RGB unit, it really makes my unit stand out with some personality. The build quality of the plastic is superb, there were no sharp edges whatsoever and it clicks together nicely and comes apart nicely too. It's a real change from the usual Aliexpress shells I'm used to for other handhelds. If you're thinking of buying it, you should - it's a solid product.

Just received and installed on my Ally X. A heads up, if you have an SSD with a heating installed, the additional cooling will not fit. However, it is not needed. Very simple install. I couldn’t believe how low the price is compared to the quality. Feels premium when installed and it’s completely smooth compared to the OEM grippy back plate. RGB is all separate from the Ally, and the button is recessed with its own Type-C port. Looks incredible too. I love this and wish I had bought it sooner. Not a fan of the silicon grips but nice that they are included!

Worked like a charm on my ASUS rog ally x. The installation instructions were very vague had to watch a YouTube video about install. Of course the video I watched the guy was dumb and didn’t know to tape up the light sensor inside the rog ally x, and the directions don’t mention it although they supply the black tape to do it. System wouldn’t reboot ended up watching a second video and the guy was very smart and mentioned the light sensor, I taped it up and had to hard reset with a long power button press and everything worked great. Backplate, grips and RGB Lighting looks awesome. I upgraded my SSD also so the heat sink was awesome too, doesn’t block air flow at all and keeps the heat away from the micro SD card slow, evenly distributing lower heat more throughly and evenly throughout the system. My top recommended Mod especially if your upgrading internal storage.

This is incredible quality. I bought this because my Ally X had a slight creak to it when twisting it no matter how much I tightened the screws. Not only does this fix the issue, but it makes the device feel so much more premium. I really appreciate that Jsaux gives you everything you need for the installation (like the screw driver and plastic pry piece) and the rubber grips are actually great as well. If you are on the fence and questioning if this makes a real difference, the answer is a solid yes.

Looks super cool. Only thing that is bad (for me not the products fault) is that the extra heatsink and lights doesn't fit my unit. But again it is my problem not the product's as I have the 74wh battery mod.

This back plate fit great and was easy to install. I ended up returning it though as it does not have grips on the case and rely on the rubber sleeve which gets in the way and does not offer a comfortable grip for longer periods of time. If you are ok with the rubber grips then this could work. Overall I liked the back plate and the colors but I couldn’t play my games comfortably so I didn’t keep it.

I expected a lot, since it's coming from Jsaux, I was honestly not disappointed. Installation was very easy. Remove buttons, and put on the new case, make sure the RGB module is in and the "light sensor" is covered. Sticker on the battery and it's good to go!

Sieht richtig gut aus und ist einfach zu installieren. Es gibt eine "offizielle" Anleitung auf YouTube, aber auch schon einige YouTuber die ausführliche Anleitungen hochgeladen haben. Es wurde alles nötige mitgeliefert und sogar noch Ersatzschrauben. Dazu noch niedrigere Temperaturen als mit der Original Backplate. In welchen Fällen man die RGB Funktion nutzt - keine Ahnung. Man sieht ja selber nix von :D

He comprado esta carcasa para realizar el mod de mejora de la batería de la Rog Ally a 72Wh. Con esto no necesitas cortar nada en esta parte con lo que hace más fácil la actualización. Totalmente recomendable, la gente de jsaux sabe muy bien lo que hace.
