We have always treated animals as a part of our family . By the time we realized our little girl was sick she only had five days left to live . This was the first-time we had to make the decision to have one of the dogs we loved so dearly put to sleep . We knew this was the right thing to do to not let her suffer anymore but that did not make it any easier. My brother communicated that Prissy told him she was ready to go and thanked us for helping her make this transition to heaven.
