Bad service. Bad plug. Bad warranty. Good product.
Bad service. Bad plug. Bad warranty. Good product. I had a problem activating my warranty, prompt but not very helpful service, website and customer service would not accept code. Product had USA plug but no UK, EU or Australian plug. Otherwise happy with the product.

A blind squirrel finds a nut!!
We have purchaced several projectors in the entry level price range over the past 10years. This Onoayo unit being the 7th such projector. Having spent the afternoon familiarizing myself with its myriad functions and really putting this handsome little unit through its paces I can say most assuredly it's the finest projector I have owned. In fairness to some of the older units we've had that may not have had the array of modern conveniences like auto focus and auto keystone I base my opinion solely on the ease of setup, the pretty darn good sound produced and the exceptional quality of the image this little guys creates. You would be hard pressed to find a better projector anywhere in the crowded sub-two hundred market. I can't speak to the longevity of the Onoayo machine but I can say they offer a 3YEAR warranty. There's something to be said for a company that'll stand by their product for 3years. When you hold the projector it feels substantial and well built and woth premium materials. The plastics and cloth used to mold the outer shell are stylish and fit and finish is superb. Again, I cant say what a couple years will bring to bare but I do know whatever goes wrong Onoayo will fix or replace the projector and they dont even charge shipping!! With all that PLUS your 30 day Amazon protection I feel comfortable advising anyone on the hunt for a projector to stop their search right here. This is the one! Its a great little unit, cute and well built. Great sharp image even when I pull it way back for a 10'-15' screen size. Lastly, (and anyone whos ever had a projector that could focus the center but not the edges or vice-versa will know why this is almost unheard of under $200) the projected image is crisp and in focus from the center right out to the edges. I dont mind sticking my neck out for these guys. You really cant go wrong with this one. Enjoy.

Very decent picture quality for a cheap projector, but it does have a few very annoying cons
Pros: - Very compact, can fit in/on places most other projectors won't - Reasonably bright, could be brighter, but fine for this price point - Contrast ratio is quite good for a cheap projector, makes up a little for the lack of brightness - Picture is clear and uniform, again, considering the price - Built in speakers aren't as tinny as I expected them to be, but I still wouldn't use them to watch anything except the news or Youtube shorts. - Very quiet fan - My email questions to the manufacturer were all promptly answered, this gives me hope that they MIGHT even put out a firmware update for some of the cons I listed below (ok... only a little hope) Cons: - Bluetooth output has quite a bit of lag. You will need a way to sync the picture and audio if you use a Bluetooth speaker - Bluetooth output is very quiet, even if you turn the volume to 100%. Whatever Bluetooth speaker you connect to will have to be turned up to hear the audio at a reasonable level - Keystone adjustment is all digital and very coarse. The good part of being digital is that it doesn't blur any parts of the picture, BUT, it's not smooth at all, the edges of the picture are beveled when you adjust the keystone. It's not a huge deal when you're watching a movie, but if it's a static screen, like the Netflix menu or a desktop computer with lots of straight vertical lines displayed, it is very noticeable (see a review from Blake for a picture that demonstrates this) - When you power on the projector, it ALWAYS goes to the menu screen. WHY??? Almost all TVs I have owned automatically display the last input that was used when you power it on... but because this projector automatically goes to the menu, I MUST press some buttons on the remote to exit the menu and get a picture on the screen. I can't just power on the projector and start watching right away. - I did not get a lens cap even though the description said it has one This projector, first and foremost, fit the size criteria I had because I have a very small shelf I put the projector on in my living room. This one is even smaller than the WeWatch V30SE I had, which was already very small. Aside from the size, I got this projector for 2 other main reasons: 1) I wanted something a bit brighter than my last cheap projector, the WeWatch V30SE 2) My Fire TV Stick's Bluetooth audio output to my soundbar had syncing issues. The V30SE did not have Bluetooth audio output, so I thought if I outputted BT audio directly to the soundbar from this projector, I could bypass the Bluetooth syncing issues from the Fire TV Stick As I mentioned in the cons section, the Bluetooth lag outputting from this projector was pretty bad so my reason #2 for getting this projector wasn't fulfilled. Going back to reason #1, it is a DEFINITE improvement over the V30SE in terms of brightness, contrast ratio, and focus. If there was any ambient light in the room with the V30SE, dark scenes were unwatchable, but with this projector, a little ambient light is ok. And if the room is near completely dark, this projector is very noticeably better than the V30SE in terms of brightness and clarity, especially in the darker scenes. I know, the V30SE isn't exactly a high bar to overcome, but it will make watching movies on this projector a lot more enjoyable. Overall I feel like the picture quality overshadows most of the cons I listed above. If it wasn't for my size requirements, I probably would not have bought it for $105, I would say it should be in the $60-$80 range. But since I had very specific size constraints, I bit it bullet. Now on to figuring out another solution to my Fire TV Stick's BT audio sync issues.

Seller didn't replace defective unit.
I'll change this review if the seller deliver's on the warranty. My projector went out of focus and the seller deemed it a manufacturer issue. They said they we're going to ship out another projector. It has been 6 weeks and I haven't received a replacement as promissed. I would stay away from this company/seller. I'll update review if I actually receive a replacement unit. DM

Incredible value - I cannot believe the quality at this price
Initially, I bought a more expensive portable projector. The projector reviews seem to be all over the place because it’s complicated. Even to understand how bright they are- there is ISO lumens, ANSI lumens, LCD lumens, and Lux. All just trying to say the same thing about how bright the light is - it turns out a general rule of thumb is divide Lux by three and that’s close to ANSI the world standard. ISO and LCD lumens are a percentage point brighter than a regular ANSI lumen. What I read said to watch in a bright room you need well above 1000 lumen closer to 2000 is what was recommended but , to watch in a room slightly darker around 500 lumen seems fine If you see something other than ANSI linens - do some quick comparisons as to converting it to ANSI measurement. Many of the portable projector brightness are so low even in a dark room it’s not going to be a very bright picture. OK to this projector - I don’t know that I would have as good of a review if I hadn’t had the contrast of the more expensive one. On the more expensive one the Bluetooth was unreliable, keystone (setting the edges, parallel and perpendicular to create a rectangular screen) was manual- this one on automatic worked great 90% of the time. The more expensive one had speakers as if you took the one in your cell phone and put it in a tight box. The detailed specifics showed my comparison camera and this one to have similar brightness. However, this one seemed much brighter. I was surprised this one offered an automated Keystone. This projector offered something I hadn’t realized was so important— the ability to adjust contrast, brightness, & color. It’s about the size of 1/2 of a shoebox. The sides are soft fabric, which allow for the very reasonable speakers to give you a great sound. No, it’s not like sitting in your car with a luxury stereo system, but it’s good. Definitely good enough to watch a movie. Set up is easy my 70-year-old mother mastered it after two minutes– I love that it occupies no space – visually it’s even kind of cute. People are shocked with what can come out of such a tiny box. I only bought this one because I saw a great discount and knew even if I only used it one time for a family gathering it would’ve been worth what I paid for it. I never imagined it would be so great. All functions you might need are on the remote, Auto focusing is extremely easy. As I began looking at projectors, I was quite surprised at how many still required you to walk over to the projector and rotate a knob by the lens to get it in focus. This one does it automatically but if at any time you want it to be slightly different it’s a push of a button My ONLY input to the manufacturers would be it does not have a tilt or a foot to raise or lower the image. For my purposes a pencil worked great to put under it I would prefer an infrared receiver be closer to the front. This has the receiver on the back- which prevents you from being able to push it completely against the wall or the remote would not work. The last wish- I want it in gray. Otherwise, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase. I’ve seen a lot of portable projectors. I’ve never seen one that remotely impressed me until now. It’s good enough that I purchased another one and took my 55 inch plasma TV off the wall and set my bedroom up the same way I set my mom’s apartment up. It’s out of the way and perfect . The projector has a Bluetooth as well as if you have a streaming stick would have a Bluetooth – that made it very easy to incorporate higher quality speakers or an amplifier. I really hope this company succeeds and I look forward to seeing what else they make.
