Great dvd , Bought as a christmas gift. Arrived fast.

Some say MM2 has lesser known songs. For this ABBA fan it is wonderful to hear these lesser known tracks. OK, the new lyrics are throwing me a bit. I keep singing the original MY LOVE MY LIFE and I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU. Considering I love METAL, these are 2 of the most wonderful love songs ever! Some say poor acting. Walters is classic genius. She says so much with just her facial expressions. And Streep... (for me), the BEST ACTRESS... EVER! MM2, take it for what it is... fun, colourful, musical... and yes, camp! The story is good. Perhaps it isn't made clear that Bill's Great Aunt Sophia, is the mother of the owner of the tavern. But the commentaries help with some issues. I remember being thrown in MM1 when Pierce came down the Lloyds building (I recognised it) and out into a New York street. My only disappointment is Disc 2, the bonus disc. It is only 20 minutes long... WHY? A waste of materials in this eco age. So much could have been included. What you get is a bit of chat about individual songs used in MM2. ABBA were my first musical love way back from 1976. It loved some their guitar riffs. This led me on to METAL. For years I was shy about my love of ABBA, but I am proud to say I love them!!

After waiting ten years for the sequel, I felt this film didn't have the fun factor of the original. I know they spend a fortune on bringing in bigger stars but the storyline was disappointing. Why the writers decided that it would be a good idea to make the film without the many character (Meryl Streep) is a mystery to me. It was her personality and relationship with the cast that made the first film so uplifting and funny. But to say that she had died made what should have been a joyful film quite sad. Overall the music is excellent, the cast brilliant but the storyline disappointing especially as it took a decade to come up with this. If only they had included Meryl Streep, that would have added to the overall entertainment. We've watched the original numerous times at the cinema and on DVD but the follow up just doesn't raise our spirits as much. But that's a matter of personal taste.......

I brought this for my daughter, she liked watching clips on YouTube. It's a fun family movie, that I am happy for my 5 year old to watch. It's not as good as the first movie, but if you are a fan of the first movie, or even an ABBA fan this is a must see, to understand the background story. Personally, Meryl Streep acting talents is under used, and Cher looks an odd choice even for a glamorous Granda considering the age gap to Meryl Streep, but I'd still happily watch it again.

Love the Mama Mia movie and the sequel is very well done. Need to remember various props and dialogue from the first movie, because the sequel integrates numerous of these elements quite well, making it very enjoyable.

I thought this movie would not play in my blu ray, according to the reviews, but it does. And i love this movie. I have the first movie so i wanted to own the sequel. And i absolutely love the ABBA songs!
