I wish I had gotten a lighter color. In the bilge once they get wet it's hard to say if they have oil on them

I really like these pads. We have used them primarily for water spills/leakages as a stop gap until the plumber can arrive. They tend to hold up well for 2-3 uses, so the reusability is a plus. Because they are gray in color, it is easy to monitor the degree of the spill or status of soak up from afar. Because we use them for water spills/leakage, they can be thrown away with regular trash.

These do a good job cleaning up shop spills, but sometimes when wiping them around with your boot they tear rather easily. They also seem a bit pricey compared to oil dry, but - they do not create any dust.

So I use these for a possibly... "non-standard" use... One of my not so bright cats doesn't know how to aim their back end when they pee in the litter box and it's common for it to go off the side. Their litter box is in the laundry room with tile so it's not destructive, but of course it gets trapped under the litter box and dries and it SMELLS. So I saw these and the amount per box and thought why not? I put two under the litter box (I use large litter boxes) and check them when I scoop the litter. They can absorb a TON of stray cat pee, but of course they start to reek after a while if they get even sorta "full". But still, I just throw them in a trash back and tie it closed and it's instantly clean. I've started to put them at the bottom of the litter box too and pour litter on top of them, this way any lumps can't stick to the bottom of the pan. It makes litter SO much easier to clean. Best part is, I've had them for over a year and I'm still on the original box. There are a TON of them.

I used them for lost shingles during a rainstorm. The pads are small like the size of printer paper but you get a lot of them. Unlike a snake or a dam which is one long piece, you can fit these almost anywhere. Fold and stuff them, and switch them out as they soak and you monitor the situation. Decent at holding water ( when you pick it up put it in a bucket) they dry quickly. I don't get the '12 gallon' capacity (?) maybe the whole box but my guess is each one holds 8 to 10 oz. The used ones absorb just as well if not better than the new ones. If you have a torrential flood these might not be your friend but for dripping attics and seepage, these do the job and cost much less than pig products.

These soak up a lot of liquids like hydraulic FLUID, OIL, AND DIESEL. Would buy again

They absorb spills well, I just wish they were bigger. I think most guys in shops can agree that they should be bigger for the price.

Absorb oils and great for target drips. Holds alot of oil. Perforated if you only want half size. I would say each sheet holds 8oz of oil

I use these as an absorbent for minor oil leaks on a piece of equipment. They well and are easy to replace and dispose of rather than let the oil accumulate until it leaks out onto the ground.

After drying them out, are they reusable?

I have a small leak and my basement and figured these pads would be helpful when dealing with the water. These pads are not what you would think. You could literally submerge them in water and the pads still would not be wet. They also will not stop water from moving from one area to another. All in all pretty big waste of 50$
