Best buy 😃
This tree came quickly. Also it was much larger than I expected it to be. It's still alive and doing well. Not one leaf has fallen off since I received it.

I would suggest you look elsewhere.
The tree shown in the photograph is not in any way the tree I received. If one took the lower branch from the tree and used a good root hormone and rooted the twig in good soil, that is what I received. It will take at least 5 years to get the tree in the photograph. I chose to keep the tree because, frankly, it is a hassle to return it, but I won't shop here again. I wrote to them and they confirmed I ordered a 18" tree in a quart container and expressed their conviction that someday the tree will grow and bear fruit. Note how thin the "trunk" is, how delicate it is and the leaves are damaged. Eventually, it may bear fruit. But I will be ordering another tree from a company I've used before: Hirt's Garden.

So Far It is Excellent
I receive the lime tree in good shape. It looks similar to the photo and is about 26" tall. After arrival we gave it about 2 weeks to recover from the shipping before we transplanted it to a larger pot and fertilized it. After another week we saw vigorous new growth. Last year we purchased a Myers Lemon tree (from a different supplier). It never really grew much. This spring it lost all its leaves and died so we decided to try a lime tree. From my citrus tree research, this is what I learned: - Plants like crowded roots, so don't transplant into a pot that is significantly larger. - Wait for the soil to dry out before you water it. Then add room temperature water slowly so that it seeps into all the soil. Continue watering until you see water drip out the bottom. Make sure you empty any water that collects in the drip tray. - Use the special citrus fertilizer. They mostly need fertilizer in the spring and summer months. - Check for tiny bugs, if you any bugs or cobwebs gently wash the leaves with soap and water. - If stored in a dry location such as indoors during the winter, periodically spray the leaves with water from a pump sprayer. If the leaves get too dry they will be damaged.

received live plant, not frozen... very good service for below freezing temp here...

Don't buy in the winter time if you live in a state that has freezing temp.
Don't buy this in the winter time if you live in a snowy/cold area. Mine arrived frozen. The leaves eventually dried up and fell off. Branch still looks green so hopefully it survived and will sprout new growth in the spring. Other than that its a small sapling that looks to be rooted well.

Height is a useless characteristic.
The key lime sprout arrived early and appears healthy. It's nothing like the pictures in the ad. This leads me to believe that buying by height is the wrong criteria. What I did not know to ask is how old is it? This appears incredibly young and there is no way that I'm going to get fruit from this a year from now. Obviously in the pictures there was fruit everywhere. It's like buying an 8 week old puppy for breeding and not realizing you're going to have to wait three to five years for the puppy to grow up. So this leads me to a question how old will the tree be before I see fruit? Heights got nothing to do with anything so I'm very sad that that's what they used as a criteria for selling. As usual, do your homework and for any item it should always take the perspective "buyer beware".
