HOLOSUN is a "go-to" in optics. Feels solid. Does the job. I just don't understand the price tag difference. I have a $40 optic that has served me just as well (so far). I don't feel cheated and I trust the brand name, but as a novice, I scratch my head at where the line is. Regardless, I CHOSE to spend the money on a brand because it backs it's product and delivers on it, so I'll still give it a 5-star.

I was looking for a RDS for a .22 pistol. I didn't want some cheap Airsoft-grade plastic POC. On the other hand, I don't expect to engage invading Chinese paratroopers, so I didn't want to pay "Brand H" prices, however good their sights are. This fits the bill perfectly. It's all metal construction, 10 levels of brightness, and shake-awake functionality are perfect for my needs.

Very nice red dot that would have worked, but the mounting plate for the SAR9 put the sight too high on the pistol. It made it harder to pick up the dot due to the high alignment, so I removed it for now. That is the reason for 4 stars, as the sight wasn't able to be mounted lower on the pistol and I couldn't use it as such. It is a still a very nice micro rde dot.
