Well, after about 4 years and being dropped from the armrest several hundred times my remote finally gave up clinging to life and died. I needed a replacement and ordered this. It showed up and right out of the box was working perfectly with only about 2 minutes of set-up required. It looks, feels, and functions as good, if not better, than the original.
