Not secure in the slightest! Do not purchase! *by M***Y on Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2020* I had purchased an older version of the same (almost identical) or similar system a few years ago. This is obviously the "upgraded" version of the one I had purchased. While both are very cheap, in price and in quality, the first system actually did what it was supposed to do. No the camera wasn't HD, wasn't even close, but that was ok as long as we were able to see who was at our gate. Even though I sealed it with silicone, moisture did eventually creep in and it fried a resistor on the voltage regulator circuit and that killed the entire unit as it couldn't get any power.Well after looking for a replacement unit this one was the closest I could find on amazon. And it had what looked to be some pretty cool new features, like the fingerprint scanner. Biometrics is much more secure than standard 4 digit numerical code. I didn't even get to the fingerprint bit as there were too many other problems to sort out.First off, why would you make the default setting for a locking mechanism NORMALLY OPEN AND UNLOCKED??? YOU WANT TO KEEP PEOPLE OUT! Maybe it's just me, but I have no idea how to switch the lock from a NO (Normally Open) to a NC (Normally Closed) condition, maybe the seller can answer this question? And this diagram in the "instruction" leaflet makes things even more confusing - is there a terminal block somewhere that I dont know about?The picture quality, I wouldn't call it quality exactly, I can barely call it a picture. Extremely bad, even after adjusting it to the best settings the "monitor" has to offer, it's still a muddied mess of distorted barely recognizable shapes of very off, foreign colors.Oh, and another small detail is the THE LOCK WILL RANDOMLY UNLOCK EVERY FEW MINUTES!!! WHAT THE??? I AM NOT KIDDING! It must be receiving signals from another device transmitting at 432MHZ in the area and I'm sure there are plenty around as many wireless alarm systems also transmit at this same frequency (I install alarm systems by the way).Maybe I got a VERY DEFECTIVE unit or something, maybe its infected with Covid 19, I just don't know.
