Compact Travel Umbrella with Case Sun&Rain Lightweight Small and Compact Suit for Pocket

I just got back from a trip to Asia where it was incredibly hot and humid. I noticed a ton of locals walking around with umbrellas that had a black underside, and I had no idea why until I looked it up — the black lining blocks UV rays and actually keeps you noticeably cooler. I was kicking myself for only having a thin regular umbrella the whole trip! Not anymore. I came home and found this one, and now I'm fully prepared for my next trip. It comes in so many colors, looks great, and does double duty — blocks the sun AND handles rain. What really won me over beyond the UV protection is the size. It's so compact it fits easily in my purse, and you can even hook it onto the outside of a smaller bag. And the case it comes with? Actual a nice zippered hard case, not one of those flimsy slip covers that falls apart. That alone sets it apart. Highly recommend this for anyone traveling to hot, humid climates — or honestly just for everyday use. Such a smart little buy!

Bought this for travel. Very small and compact which is great to take on days when it "might" rain. I have not used it yet but it seems pretty sturdy and will be better than having nothing in the event I get caught in an unexpected rain. Would I buy and use this on days I know it is going to be raining all day? NO. I would opt for a little larger and sturdier one but having said that I really don't know that this one won't do as well as those.. The point is...if you are looking for something inexpensive and small especially for travel this one will do the trick.

No case as advertised in the description & picture makes it look like it’s leaning up against . It has a cover that is near impossible to get umbrella back in . It’s extremely difficult to open the first 7 - 10 times but does seem to be loosening. Compact as advertised. Does appear like material will block uv rays . Seems sturdy and possibly will be wind resistant.

As a 72 year old woman who worshipped the sun in my earlier years, I am now paying the price. I’ve had many basal and squamous skin cancers, and unfortunately some were on my face. Now I am never in the sun and always wear sunscreen. I had two funerals to attend recently and didn’t want to stand in the hot New England sun for graveside services without adequate protection, so in addition to sunglasses and sunscreen, I had this umbrella to help. It is perfect for my needs- lightweight, perfect size ( smaller than another I purchased ), kept me cooler and provided the shade I needed. Excellent quality for a great price, I will bring it along for anytime I need to stay out of the intense rays. I imagine it would work for rain just as well. Highly recommend.

Lightweight, small enough for my purse, and sturdy!

The umbrella is very compact, and would probably be excellent for traveling and putting in a purse or backpack. It's got a tiny footprint. And it's very lightweight... But too lightweight and flimsy for me to have any faith that it will hold up or handle any wind. It appears very inexpensively made. Also, when I open it, it does stay open, but doesn't really lock well, and it looks like it could close by itself at any time or with any wind. While it would probably be a perfect, inexpensive and disposable umbrella to take on a trip, or to put in my child's school backpack and not worry if they lost it, I can't use this as my go to umbrella that I leave in my car and can't see it surviving very long. It has its place and it would function well there. But it's not the adult or regular umbrella that many people might be looking for.

This compact travel umbrella is cheap, lightweight, and convenient for travel. It works fine for light rain, but it will likely break in strong winds. Good as a backup or short-term option, Umbrella can be hard to lock into place when opening.

The umbrella is super light and small so that it easily fits in a purse or backpack. The quality is robust and durable given the small size and light weight.

After using this umbrella for a couple of weeks now, I can honestly say it is the best micro umbrella I have ever purchased (I bought 2). Living in Vancouver, BC and it gets a lot of use here especially this time of year. I love the fact it is so small I can tuck it in my purse or shopping bag, the water shakes off so easily it's barely damp when I put it in. I was a forever Totes customer, however, no more. This umbrella is far superior in quality, construction, ribs are thicker and stronger, even the span is larger than the Totes of the same compact size. I just can't say enough. This compact travel umbrella is the perfect size for a purse, tote bag or backpack. It is light weight and has a comfortable handle and can be set down without having it fall over. It is durable for its size and comes in a variety of colors. I have a red and green one, and both are very convenient for rainy days.

What I dislike about this umbrella, is that when you try to open it, its just take a long time to press the button to get it open and it still doesn't work. I went on vacation thinking that this is a really nice and small umbrella that I can used on my vacation. But I was so wrong, you could never get it to open and start open. I really regret wasting my money on this piece of garbage. If anyone is thinking of buying this umbrella, I would advise you not to waste your money. Try looking for something a bit bigger and your can get to enjoy it on your vacation. I would not recommend anyone buying this product especially. I wish if I could get my refund back, It really broke my heart, because I was really looking forward to used this umbrella.
