Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 Image Stabilization USM Lens (Black) (Renewed)

Lens was not 100% like when bought new, but no noticeable issues when taking photos, and for that great price am definitely satisfied. I love using this lens, especially for portrait and group photography. Very fast and accurately timed delivery to my doorstep, even in a small town in the middle of nowhere. Thank you Amazon!

I was a little apprehensive about buying refurbished lens but decided to take a chance. I was pleasantly surprised when I received. It looked brand new. I took a bunch of pictures the day I received the lens and it worked perfectly. I would definitely buy from Global Camera again and would have no problem recommending them.

I was a little bit reluctant to buy this "refurbished" Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 Image Stabilization USM Lens. But with a savings of several hundred dollar over the cost of a "new" lens, I thought I'd take a chance -- I could always return it. The lens arrived well-packed in a plain white box and looked, for all intents and purposes, brand new. No scratches, no dust, no dings, no apparent wear at all. After spending some time testing the lens on camera, I can say that it performed completely up to my expectations. Photos are bright, sharp, clear, and the zoom works very smoothly, while the auto focus is very quiet. It replaces my kit 18-55mm lens, and, although this lens is a bit larger and heftier, the added zoom for general outdoor photography is just what I needed.

I needed a replacement for a broken EF-S 18-55mm lens in my old Canon Rebel XSi, but when I saw this renewed EF-S 18-135mm at a very good price, I decided to take a chance. I am glad that I did because it turned out that this lens is worth the price. I am not an expert photographer so I cannot give much technical details about its performance but for most of the pictures I have taken in and out of the house, I am satisfied. There is some chromatic aberration in some focal lengths and apertures that are reported in some reviews, but it is not bothersome enough for me to consider returning this lens. Remember it is a used lens.

I have a canon M50mk2 with a viltrox efm to ef/efs adapter on this lens & it’s my go to always stays on lens I store my camera in the bag with. If u dial in the camera settings properly along with a UV / CP filter u can seriously have a very capable multi purpose camera for nearly everything within reason as far as any “Pro-Sumer” is concerned. Still my favorite go to lens even among my nicer lenses.

Received the refurbished lens in good shape. It worked great for 1 month on light use. Now today, the lens does not respond to my Canon body. No auto focus at all.

So excited to get it but even though they say they refurbish and check the lens before it is sent out, this one must have gotten away from them because it was not working when it arrived. I will say it was beautiful--looked brand new. I did contact the supplier and was not given any hassle at all about the return. The return is in transit right now, but the sellers seemed very professional and compassionate on the phone and they helped me with the return so I don't believe there will be any problem. I'm writing this because I thought it was good that you hear that I had good response from Amazon/vendor and felt very comfortable with the look of the refurbished lens and their fast and efficient handling of my issue--so much so I have ordered another one.

Value for money, Quality is great.

I bought a lens for taking to weddings. You know, when you don't want to be on top of people but still want to fill the frame? Catch them in those more intimate moments - but still have the range on the zoom to widen to a group shot? Pull in enough light that you can get some focus on the subjects, but keep the background soft and out of focus? If I had the money, I would be looking for a lens that could open out to F2 or so, to get some better bokeh, but at this price point I found this lens most acceptable. And to be honest, at a recent ceremony I only changed lens once during the entire day for a brief prime lens moment with the bride-to-be before putting this one back on. It focusses very fast, silent, manual zoom feels firm without being sticky. It's also not too heavy to leave on the camera all day. It has nice geometry all the way through the zoom range. Really a very nice lens. Coupled with a soft fill flash from a Canon 430EX ii, I have some pictures I am really pleased with, and will give the happy couple some moments to look back on.
