RIDETECS 16" Motorcycle Men’s Side Boot Zipper Oiled Leather Boots

I have had these for over two years now and they still look just as they did the day i bought them. I am not easy on my shoes and these have kept up with me, the soles have taken some scuffs but no major damage and the tread on them has not let me down I have run across ice with no issue. The leather itself is thick but soft and doesnt cause any irration to my calves which I like that they fit thicker calfs. For not being for arch support these are extremely comfortable, I have danced for hours in these with no pain. The style is what it says the sit upper calf and have that classic biker look.

These boots are great. True to size. Amazingly comfortable. Priced too good to be true! Easy to put on and take off with that side zipper. My old motorcycle boots were sold as leather, but they were more like a very thin leather veneer that stated separating from the canvas base underneath which cracked and lost water repellancy. These Ridetecs are heavy full grain leather, oiled, water-proof and comfortable to walk around in after getting off the Harley. Could not recommend them higher even at double the price.

I love these boots, I almost sent them back thinking they were too small as my foot couldn't enter the boots but after breaking them in and training them, they are just what I needed.

Update 2024-JUL. I have tried to order more Ridetecs because they are getting a little worn, but I keep receiving AdTec design instead, and it is not acceptable. Please read on this update for details. see images. 2024-07-22: I Ordered one pair of Ridetecs brand 1443ZIPPER. I was careful to order the Ridetecs, noting the fire symbols on the sole and other images in the ad (such as the toe box shape). These are not to be confused with AdTec brand which has narrower, more pointy toe box and has rectangular symbols on the sole. To clarify: ‘real’ or ‘true’ Ridetecs brand has a fire logo on the sole and a wide round toe box AdTec brand has a rectangular logo on the sole and narrower, more pointy toe. Unfortunately, the narrow toe does not fit me and are uncomfortable. (Additionally, the classic ‘engineer boot’, which is what these biker boots are, should have wide, roomy, rounded toes, not narrow like a pointy western boot. -and western is not my style anyway) Immediately after receiving these, I did additional research, and they are actually different models, differently made boots, apparently made on different lasts (accounting for the differences in toe box), and are made by the same company, apparently “AdTec”, as both are shown on their web site. But, AdTec has changed the boot which they now are selling as a Ridetecs boot and using the original Ridetecs model number 1443ZIPPER to sell the original narrow-toe AdTec model, and the sellers are still using the Ridetecs images, so it is misleading as to what you may receive. I communicated directly with AdTec using their web form to inquire, and received no response after a week. Perhaps the original Ridetecs has been discontinued. I have no answers from anyone and returned the boots. It is a shame as I like the original Ridetecs because of the reasons stated, have owned two pairs, and would buy them again if possible. So, if you like a roomy wide toe, and/or don’t like narrow, western style toes, don’t buy these without making absolutely sure what you are going to get. Thank you for attention to this tricky and annoying problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Update 2024: still going good. In good shape, nothing's broken yet. Update SEP 2020: Still in good shape. Definitely worth the money. Update AUG 1, 2019: After having these almost 8 months, I am still very happy with them. DEC 8, 2018 The correct way to measure a boot height for fitting is from the footbed to the top of the boot. The height is 14.5". The 16" claimed is from the floor to the top, so includes the sole and the heel thickness. These are a great value for the money. I'd buy again.

I did get these on sale and they were an amazing value for the money. Comfortable and well made. These will be used as Santa boots and seem like they will be a big step up from the vinyl boots I started with. I've only worn them briefly but they seem comfortable and I presume will be even better when they are broken in. Other reviewers mentioned they run small so I ordered one size larger and that was a good choice.

Boots look decent, the shaft opening isn't made for wide feet. I originally order 12w and wasn't even close to get my foot past the turn. Ordered 13w a week later in early October because being a Big Guy in Red requires suit upgrades and new boots were a must. Amazon's inventory was incorrect so the day before the first proposed delivery date they had to go on backorder through manufacturer. Ridetecs put on backorder also. I finally received a shipping notification December 18 to deliver December 24th. Good I would get to use for my final visits of he season. Wrong again, on the 22nd notice for delayed delivery to January 2nd. We'll they came in finally but still won't fit my foot down in so taking to a cobbler to expand the opening. Ridetecs and Amazon have terrible customer service on this order. Also unlike every other order asking for a review they didn't send that email. I hunted to a place to review the product through the delivery notice. I work in a factory and if inventory goes low it is produced within two weeks, three months is outrageous.

I want and need support and protection over the calf of my legs. There are few non-custom boots that fill that need and these RideTecs are superior. That badly damaged foot requires a side zipper and extra size for me because the lack of range of motion and permanent swelling demand it. Sneakers, low boots, even 11" high boots if you can find them don't cut it. I unpacked these and slipped them on. I wore them the whole first day in comfort. No stiffness. The same the next day, and the next. The cushion in the boot is amazing in how it molds to the foot and makes you feel like you're walking on air. These are biker/engineer boots and have all of the reinforcement and adjustment of the historic boot. The instep strap has a bit of extra length to add a bit of balance to the buckle. The bottom of the boot has just a bit of extra border (?) that makes the boot more stable, ready to get down to business. One drawback was in the shipping. A 16" boot needs an internal support that comes up the full 16". Mine had an 8" support floating about in the bottom which meant the shafts are creased flat. As I cuff my boots, this creates a rather noticeable folded edge in the front and back. They are unsightly bloused. I hope I can work that out.

Do not ride but very into leather and as an enthusiast, I hands down can recommend this boot. Very comfortable and have a great look. Love the zip which helps with putting and taking off, however I do wish it had a heel/pull tab so there would be a better method for pulling them on but not so bad without. Love the height on these and even the smell is great (again leather enthusiast). For the price, these are spectacular boots and I prefer wearing them to other boots I own that I paid double the price for. Will report back after owning them for a longer period of time.

El material de la bota se siente barato y nada seguro. La suela es bastante buena y no derrapas, tiene un buen agarre.

El producto es bueno buen calibre de piel. buena piel. Lo único que no me gusto es el cierre que no baja hasta la suela y eso en mi caso(empeine alto) me cuesta trabajo meterla.
