Great Device!!
The TrimUI Smart Pro is an excellent handheld, especially at its price point. I love that it combines a 5" screen with a Linux-based OS—something I spent a lot of time researching, and honestly, there aren’t many devices that offer this combo. For those mentioning the lack of preloaded games: while it does come with a few, it’s really designed for you to add your own ROMs which are everywhere online. I personally really like the CrossMix menu system, and there are some great resources out there to help you get everything set up. If you're diving into CrossMix, there is a guide on github that is top-notch. The guide is super detailed—it walks you through everything, from the ROM versions you need to how to use all the OS features. Really well done. I decided to start fresh with a new SD card and went with a Samsung Pro Plus microSD (128GB), which was around $16.99. It’s definitely worth it—SD cards that come with these devices tend to be lower quality and can cause issues. A reliable card like the Samsung Pro Plus makes a big difference. Installing CrossMix OS is simple: just copy the files from the CrossMix download onto the card, then drop your ROMs into the correct folders. If you need extra help, there are plenty of YouTube videos and walkthroughs online. As for the device itself—I love the 5" bright display, lighted joysticks, the menu interface is slick, and overall it feels like a hidden gem at this price. That said, I’d love to see a 'TrimUI Smart Pro Ultra' someday, with a beefier processor and upgraded D-pad/joysticks. As it stands, it runs everything from Atari 2600 to some PSP games. All in all, it’s a great little device and I’d definitely recommend it.

Brilliant retro handheld
I've started collecting retro handhelds, and the TrimUI Smart Pro has quickly become one of my favorites. It's more powerful than other entry-level handhelds, which is great. What stands out most, though, is the screen. It's vibrant and captivating. There's no backlight bleed. The stock firmware works really well and is easy to use. There are also several other firmware options available online. The most popular are Crossmix and NextUI, which can improve the already-good experience even more. I personally use and love NextUI. Physically, the TrimUI Smart Pro feels premium. The d-pad and buttons are responsive and satisfying. The menu/hotkey button is positioned well, and I really like that it's on a separate side of the device from the start and select buttons. This makes toggling fastforward and saving/loading states a lot easier. It's able to play a lot of games with ease and convenience, and it has a notable performance increase over a lot of other devices in the price-range. You can't go wrong with the TrimUI Smart Pro. It's an excellent choice for retro gaming and worth every penny.

Will NOT connect to TV
Good quality for the price asked. I bought it to play PSP, It will run it poorly but that can be partially fixed by modding it. If you dont care about PSP, this game console is PERFECT. Unfortunately, its not possible to connect it to a TV.

Great device. Worth every penny.
I was in the market for a retro device, and actually tried many others before landing on this one. This comes loaded with a wealth of games and is very easy to add more or remove those that are unwanted. The operating system is straightforward and easy to use, and there are even third party operating systems available for full customization. It fits decently in my hands, and feels very sturdy. Functions perfectly and runs all of the installed games with out any issue. The price point is amazing, as similar devices run for a lot more. All in all would definitely recent this product if you are in the market for a retro device.

Good device but not many games for new systems.
There are plenty of Atari games and systems that are older and I won’t knock those but the main reason I got this device specifically was cause it can run psp emulation and there are 5 games of psp on here and not one was a game I was hoping would be on here, the device itself isn’t bad but I’m bummed I need to put games on here it’s stated there are games on it but older style games like capcom and Atari, if you’re just looking for games like that, there are systems that are much cheaper than this that can run them, this however has very little games from the first game boy up to psp. The whole reason I got this one was because it can emulate psp yet there are only a couple games. This product isn’t misleading or scamming by any means but this one specifically doesn’t have any cool games not even a pokemon game. I am not tech savvy by any means I’m not sure how to upload games onto here myself on top of that I don’t have a computer to do it either. Like I said it’s not a bad system but if you’re looking for something with a lot of games to keep you occupied I would say get this one, if you do enjoy original Atari games there are 700 on here but nothing for the newer systems, I think I’m going to return this product and get one with cross mix os and maybe do some research and see if there is a way for me to get an sd card with games on here, if I had known there were so little games I would have got something else. Like I said the device runs fine I’m simply just disappointed in the lack of games on the newer systems. No hate from me or too the seller I just can’t physically do anything with this device now since i don’t know how to put my own games on here. Btw no pokemon games on here either, it could be a copyright thing and the seller may be within legal rules and that’s why this was done so like I said I don’t put this on the seller at all but it would’ve been nice to know how little games are actually on here and that’s the only reason I’ve said so much so anyone browsing can see, like I said if these are the type of games you like more power too you but I just wanted to make this cause I felt if I could’ve known this it would have helped me. And one last thing is most of the games are in either Chinese or Japanese, I cannot tell I can’t read either but if you can’t read it then goodluck to you anyways I’m don’t with this massive paragraph but hopefully I can help somebody else out with this.

Won't turn on after a month
I'm updating my review to a 1 star. My child played with the console with no issues for a month, but now that we are outside of the return window, the consol won't turn on at all. When plugged in, the 3 lights on bottom light up indicating that it is charging, but it will not turn on at all. I wasn't hopeful about the system after reading some of the reviews, but it was on my child's christmas wishlist so I went ahead and bought it. The graphics are great and there are a ton of games. It was ready to play straight out of the box.

My PSP emulator
Now this doesn’t have a ton of power. But I use it mainly for ps1 and psp emulation. I definitely suggest cross mix or knulli as the os. But the size feels similar to a psp. Plenty of games to play. Battery is decent, it’ll last me most of the day. More demanding games will drain the battery faster. And the buttons feel and function as intended. Only gripe is the thumb sticks don’t click in for L3 and R3. Great starter for Ps1 and PSP emulation especially if you can catch it on sale.
