They come in a deceptively small package because there is a band holding the struts compressed. Support the door as far open as possible, use a small flat-blade screwdriver to pop the clip loose on the old struts and pull them off of the ball connector. I cleaned off the ball connectors, gave them a light coat of grease and the new struts snapped into place easily. I read reviews of other struts were there were complaints that they were too strong.
